He is right; don't join independent clauses with coma. Use semicolon for this purpose.

I think both ways are correct: birds get frozen or birds freeze. First one puts more emphasis on 'frozen' so it seem better choice to me. Nevertheless, you may use either of your choice

'Jumps in' is absolutely fine to me!

Chemguy is right. Havoc is a noun.

He has rightly pointed out some spelling and punctuation mistakes.

(All that glitters is not Gold)

The truth of this proverb should be obvious to those who live in the artificial world of colors.Appearance can be deceptive. What appears to be gold may be copper or even something worse. Something which sparkles like a diamond can not be a diamond in real.Likewise if we come to talk about the world of people,we may find many persons who glitter and shine, but are not genuine and valuable,in fact. They try to create a favorable impression and we are often deceived and cheated by their outward look or appearance. We forget or neglect the fact that there also exist wolfs in sheep's clothing.

Plato said long ago that the human eye is not dependable for knowing the truth.Whatever looks fancy or shines, we blindly like it.For instance: if we go to the market with the purpose to purchase a T.V.We enter a shop where both new and second-hand T.v's are available. They are pretty alike and identical. The appearance of second-hand T.V's is the same as that of the new ones. Now if we purchase the second-hand T.V, it must have some faults consequently it will not last long.In short,it will be nothing else but nine days' wonder.

It is rational advice for us to be on the alert and watchful to differentiate between right and wrong whenever our eyes are charmed by the outer beauty of something. We must not taken in by sparkling and glittering objects and we should not neglect or ignore rough diamonds when they come to be chosen.

@Farrukh Aziz
All that Glitters is Not Gold

The truth of this proverb should be obvious to those who live in the artificial world of colors.Appearance can be deceptive. What appears to be gold may be copper, or even something worse. Something which sparkles like a diamond can not be a diamond in real (What if it IS a diamond? You're implying that anything that shines like a diamond, can't be a diamond. Also, in the end, 'Real' what?) .Likewise, if we come to talk about the world of people,we may find many persons who glitter and shine, but are not genuine and valuable,in fact(Put 'in fact' before you mention the fact ).They try to create a favorable impression and we are often deceived and cheated by their outward look or appearance. We forget or neglect the fact that there also exist wolfs in sheep's' clothing.

Plato said long ago that the human eye is not dependable for knowing the truth.Whatever looks fancy or shines, we blindly like it.For instance: if (Capital I) we go to the market with the purpose to purchase 'of purchasing' a T.V. (TV) We (small 'w' because it is part of the preceding sentence) enter a shop where both new and second-hand ('secondhand' is one word) T.v's (TVs) are available. They are pretty alike and identical. The appearance of second-hand T.V's(No apostrophe, and it's TVs) is the same as that (those) of the new ones. Now if we purchase the second-hand T.V, it must have some faults consequently it will not last long.In short,it will be nothing else but nine days' wonder.

It is rational advice for us to be on the alert and be watchful to ('so that we may be able to')differentiate between right and wrong whenever our eyes are charmed by the outer beauty of something. We must not be taken in by sparkling and ,glittering objects and we should not neglect or ignore rough diamonds when they come to be chosen.

Your TV example is self-defeating. What you're saying is, both new and secondhand TVs are similar, except that the used ones have some fault, so they won't last long. In your last line, you've said "In short,it will be nothing else but nine days' wonder." meaning, the old one's really aren't good. So you're agreeing that the new TVs are better. Don't you think this is an unsuitable example ?

Default Plz check my expansion.

AOA,
I am very thankful to all members on this thread for their active participation.
The topic of my expansion is:
All that That Glitters Is Not Gold.
Epansion:
Gold is a metal which glitters. Gold has multiple characteristics. Brightening is one of its charateristics.Shining is its outer characteristic which makes it attractive. But it is not as much worthy as its intrinsic characteristic. Gold having no luster might be baught and valued greter than the lustrous Gold having no quality.
plz check my paragraph although i have not copmleted my whole expansion.

Where ignorance is bliss, it is folly to be wise.

The world is deep and dark ditch of ignorance. Where ignorance is known as a blessing, it is better to be silent there. On account of closed mouth catches no fly. One must be silent in the party of illiterates. He must not show his wisdom where it is not appreciable otherwise it will be known as a sin.

Ibne Rushd a great scholar, philosopher and astronomer was killed by the people of that time. He was naked and tied outside of the mosque. They stoned and spitted over him in a cold and shivering night. His only sin was; He spoke about stars, philosophy and metaphysics in the town of uneducated people where ignorance was blessing.

Galileo the great Scientist was house arrested because he said Sun does not move around the earth and other planets but Earth moves around the sun. This was not tolerable by people of that time. Sun moves around the earth was in their believes. He was threatened that take back your words or you will be killed. And, he took back his words. He had talked wisely among the narrow-minded people.

if one speaks above than the level of one's mind, he will be known MAD and if one speaks lesser than the level of mind, he will be known FOOL. i is better to speak according to the level of one's mind. And, being wise in fool's paradise is like to hammer one's own leg.

Write down on any ONE of the following.

1. The violence of war can be diluted with love.
2. The thing of beauty is joy forever.
3. God helps those who help themselves.
4. Man is Architect of his own fortune.

Dear I have not taken any line from this book.Actually for ideas I usually read it.As usual I read it and my mind automatically stored some of these sentences. While writing,I made use of them in my expansion.I can never think of taking lines to write something for it is of no use.

These are the exact lines in expansion of Discovering the world of English.
Perhaps, it was not plagiarism. I would have mistaken.
