God has made this world and all things to be found in it dual in nature. If there is happiness then there is bleakness as well. The coin has two sides and so has democracy. If we unfold the book of history, we find the supporters as well as opponents of Democracy, yet by far the empirical evidence suggests if it is not ideal then it is close to being one.

The laughing philosopher [B][U][I][COLOR="Blue"]Democritus[/COLOR][/I][/U][/B] says, "The will of majority is never good as foresight and wisdom is not an abundant commodity". The Socrates drank the cup of hemlock as he rebelled against the will of majority, his disciple [B][U][I][COLOR="Blue"]Plato[/COLOR][/I][/U][/B] was also adamant that only "Philosopher king has the right to rule". They talk about the time when education, the prerequisite for democracy to succeed, was not as widespread as it is today and people did not have the knowledge to do the right decisions for themselves, but today the people have knowledge as well as perspicacity to take effective decisions thanks to education and media and not to forget the ever available information on Internet.

"Democracy is the government of the people, for the people, by the people", says [B][U][I][COLOR="Blue"]Abraham Lincoln[/COLOR].[/I][/U][/B] The democracy is the government in which will of the common people is supreme, they rule by themselves or by their representatives who take every decision that is in the interest of the people at large. [B][U][I][COLOR="Blue"]Francis Bacon says[/COLOR],[/I][/U][/B] "Democracy might fail but what wins is the will of people". Democracy has protected the human rights by introducing habeas Corpus and like things. We see today that all the Developed and most civilized countries have democratic form of government, this is the clear manifestation of how idealistic and successful that form of government is. When there is a democratic form of government, the society prospers at large and it also educates the people politically, all these countries that saw major revolutions like French revolution of 1789 and Bolshevik revolution of 1917 in Russia had autocratic forms of governments so these were replaced by such a system in which people have their voice, so democracy ensures tranquil society which leads to economic and social prosperity.

As every thing has pros as well as cons, i reiterate that democracy is no exception, yet it is relatively the best form of Government. We have seen in above paragraph that democracy is successfully working in many developed countries. Dictatorship and Monarchy cannot promise the benefits that democracy has to offer, so it is comparatively better than other forms of governments. so we can safely conclude taking into consideration the discussion so far that Democracy is relatively an ideal form of government if we curb the factors such as misrepresentation and selfishness of masses beside educating them so that they can decide for themselves what is right and what is not.

"Despair is disbelief" says Islam. We do a lot of hard work for a certain thing but the outcome is not the one that we expect it to be, the disappointment is natural but we must not say that our struggle went wasted, because what we were aspiring for, we didn't get it for time being, or it was not the high time perhaps for us to have it. The fruits of our hard work and struggle would be being nourished somewhere else and these might be way sweeter than the ones we actually did the hard work for but could not get it.

The fruit of patience is always sweeter, as we get it only when it is ripened, same is the case with the fruits of our struggle, we may not get them as the outcome of our struggle but when we actually get them, we thank ALLAH almighty for not giving us it before. If we do struggle for a certain thing and we do not get it, then there is not need to become sad, don't let yourself down because it has also taught you a lesson and told you about a way that does not get you to the destiny so that now you can take the right way.

I have my own example that i prepared for a job test with so much fervor and i was very hopeful about passing it with flying colors, but unfortunately i failed to pass that, i broke down for the time being but in my combined competitive exam my struggle that i did at that time paid off when the tough General knowledge paper was nothing for me while others were having no clue about that, i passed the exam with ease and was among the highest scorers. So we learn a lesson from above discussion that Say naught, struggle not availth.

Brother your expansions are very good, but isn't it that we should keep ourselves confine to just a single or two paragraphs while writing an expansion, and providing the instances within the same paragraphs!

you can ,but always try to discuss on all possible aspects of idiom or words .

Brother first of all the very word expansion means we have to write comprehensively enough on the given quote, but your expansion must contain all relevant information yet it must be succinct and terse, don't beat about the bush, and it is very good if we talk about different aspects in different paras, but still you must write it in Maximum 3 paras, fourth one would be the conclusion.....so Tip from me is that, write comprehensively, cover all aspects but within 200-300 words and four paras.....[/COLOR][/B]

Revolution is changing a current system to bring a new one, while on the other hand Evolution is a continuing process. Revolution is the name of throwing out a government, system or an idea for its defects so that it can be replaced with a new one which is likely to improve the state of affairs, while in evolution we let the system work and we hope that the continuing process will bring the necessary changes in that system and it will keep improving with the passage of time.

Revolutions most of the times bring sanguinary conditions, blood is shed and so many a people lose their lives. [B][U][I][COLOR="Blue"]John. F. Kennedy[/COLOR][/I][/U][/B] says that "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make the violent revolution inevitable". French Revolution is a great example and so is Bolshevik revolution of Russia in 1917. The governments were ousted as result of a coup that brought the new governments. Sometime these revolutions achieve their targets but most of the times these are hijacked by the prominent leaders who establish autocratic rules of their own as did Lenin.

on the other hand Evolution takes time to bring the changes that are necessary for that system to work properly. It tests the patience of the people but the fruits of patience are always sweet. We have the example of England where never in its long political history we see a revolution, there has been only one, 1688 revolution which is called The Glorious revolution, no blood was shed. The UK has no written constitution but the evolutionary process has made it a dynamic constitution and people of UK are loving it!

So we see that Revolutions do not always achieve the very purpose rather bring more trouble while on the other hand evolution is not an immediate remedy but it is more useful in the long run.
