Example is better than precept

The maximum meaning of this quotation is that practical demonstration has more influence on the people rather than commandments and just verbal instructions. If we should profess that people adopt the moderate living style and practice the honest behavior in their life then we must set a practical example through our conduct.

The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) set practical examples by his conduct regarding social, moral and ethical spheres. As a statesmanship he adopted the modesty way of living and then promulgated that act towards others. If anybody read the teachings of the prophet, he/she must be influenced by his teachings, so that is way the message of Islam is spreading rapidly all over the word which is based on the practical exemplification.

Unfortunately our politicians lay more emphasize on the instructions rather than setting practical examples through their conduct and behavior. They profess to people regarding austere way of living, pay taxes and abstain from corruption but in contrast they do not practice of that values in their life. People seem their all activities through the electronic media. So that is way in our country almost every person think that; "might is right."

In conclusion, if we want that people speak truthfulness, obey the laws and refrain their selves from corruption then we must practice all that acts and set the practical examples though our conduct. Then it will bring out more healthy results and creates long-lasting impression on others.
