Here the word “beggars” does not refer to those who are mentally, physically and financially miserable rather it refers to those who despite being capable of doing everything do not bother to exploit it and beg for assistance, support and reward. In spite of relying on self, they beg. They do not employ their efforts, skills and resources – both human and natural and become dependent upon others to fulfil their interests. Such people cannot be the choosers for anything – post, reward and prize.

In the chronicles of hardships, when everything seems tough and goes against expectations then a being sees a ray of hope even in the abyss of despair and help herself– Japan has been the victim of world’s severe earth quakes, she has suffered a lot but even then she never beg for any kind of support in front of other nations and relied on her human and natural resources and now she is one of the leading economies of the world thus chosen to fulfil the needs of the customers of the world. In the same way, neither did the great Alama Iqbal beg for the title of the Eastern poet nor did Sir Syed Ahmad Khan for that of Sir. Both employed their persistent efforts and by dint of their diligent exertion, they were rewarded. Indeed, there are many others examples too in this regard that practiced the essence of self-sufficiency.

Another crux of the maxim is that it also advises people not to elect again those so-called leaders who always adopted the policy of begging for aid and loan vis-à-vis other nations to run their country. They just fulfilled their own vested benefits and ruined the fate of their citizens by throwing them into the valley of debt and therefore such people do not deserve to be choosing again. As a matter of fact, the spirit of self-reliance has of much importance. It should be inculcated in letter and spirit. One has to be competitive, industrious and confident enough to work for anything desirable or get out of any problem. This applies to both a single being as well as nation as a whole. In this way such diligent and committed self-reliant ones’ choose for success by the destiny because rather begging they work hard, fight and make ways for achieving their goal conversely those who beg cannot be the choosers.[/COLOR][/B]
