Lightbulb Grammar books

@ zaman

u r already studying a good english grammar book. U try to read it with interest, u will enjoy it. it seems boring and as dry as bone but it is good. it really works. Well u can also go for Exploring the world of English by S. Sadaat Ali Shah. u should read standard english stuff and should try to write down english. Practice makes a man perfect.

All the best
Regards

i m completely agree wid ya books just can acquaint about the subject but for being veteran u have to make avocation to writedown to enhance ur writing skills.EXPLORING WORLD is fairly kool stuff .it divulge the real things which we brushaside. he implies the blunders which we usually make. according to my point of view whether book is febulous but it never can b buttress to aggrandize our thoughts . it can b encourage through our diligency on writing more and more . while u enlightened by book u should keep persistance to breed ability to express ur ideas deviod off dawdle

Default Grammar book

"Oxford Practice Grammar" by John Eastwood is the best among the lot. The book is available with a CD. Do read it to improve your expressions.

Zaman its good that you have already scored command over language and still want to enhance it.
Impossible suggested rightly about, Exploring the World English I would like to suggest one more practical approach for improving your Grammar and its Barron's TEFL You have to go through its Correction of Errors portion it comprises of 210 or 220 pages but truely you will learn the minor mistakes we commits usually during our writing and speaking. And it will help you alot to learn language grammatically. And one more suggestion the more you read the more you learn so continue reading as you have time for it. And Inshahallah It will help you to score victory.

Default The best grammar book of the English Language

In my opinion the best book on grammar in English is "A Comprehensive Grammar of the English Language" by Randolph Quirk, Sidney Greenbaum, Geoffreyleech and Jan Svartvik.
It spans over about 1800 pages and is THE authority on the subject.
An abridgement of its still abridgement "A Contemporary Grammar of English Language" namely "A University English Grammar" is among the recommended book by the FPSC itself
