Broach: Raise (a difficult subject) for discussion
Gory: Involving or showing violence and bloodshed
Vicinity: The area near or surrounding a particular place
Grid: A framework of spaced bars that are parallel to or cross each other; a grating
Co-opt: Appoint to membership of a committee or other body by invitation of the existing members
Autopsy: A post-mortem examination to discover the cause of death or the extent of disease
Affidavit: A written statement confirmed by oath or affirmation, for use as evidence in court
