is it necessary that synonym of a verb should be in verb form

Yes, strictly speaking, synonym of a verb should be in verb form.

actually there was an antonym question in spsc screening
auspicious
luckless, despair
and some people are saying that correct option is despiar, despair is a verb and auspicious is an adjective, so correct choice is luckless.

what's correct preposition, i opted reproached for while spsc has marked reproached with as correct option in official key

To be honest, if I were you, I would have also gone with the "reproached for" choice. Both the options look correct.I don't know why they have preferred "reproached with" option.
