You must read the editorials daily and the weekly articles as well.You need to have a dictionery with you while reading and should note down the new words with their meaning that you come across and after understanding them,read the article again. You will feel a difference yourself. I you follow this exercise, after a couple of weeks you will encounter with almost the same words but this time you don't need the dictionery.
This really worked for me as well.

@aghaYasirkhan

My advice to you is to read newspapers loudly. This will help you in understanding English.
And I agree to Omer ,you should start from editorials first. I think editorials are little bit in easy language.

Just read World In Focus
Editorials
The beginners should read only one article per day.
Note important vocabulary and important points.

Passing of English Composition paper depends upon your precise, comprhension,short essay and direct&indirect/active passive...i said so because these are the questions about which you cn well prepare yourself. All other questions like synonyms,sntnoyms,corrections,idioms and pairs of words are upredictable.U can only guess about them and it is almost impossible to master oneself in these questions..Therefore cram the Idioms and Pair of words of any suitable book like Explorig the World of English along with those which have been asked in css exam uptill now...and give more focus on Precise and Comprehension and short essay questions because these depends upon ur practice and u can pass them in more comfortable way as compare to other questions of idioms and synonyms and antnoyms etc.

An easy tip for preparing for comprehension question is to read the newspaper and then write any article in your own words. Moreover, practice on previous papers of CSS is the only best preparation of Comprehension question.. and if u find a good instructor to check your writings but he must be loyal to u and should have an encouraging response towards u otherwise you can assess your attempted questions by yourself because CSS preparation gives you the ability to do so atleast 4 your own attempted questions.

Asslamulaikum,

As for the thread of Navid is concerned it is very useful. Let me paste some connectors as the thread starter has said that connectors beautify one's languge and writing skill.Most of them have their grammatical position of Adverb and conjunctions.
Let's talk about " STILL"
With reference to action or condition; without change, interruption, or cessation
"it's still warm outside"; "will you still love me when we're old and grey.
Despite anything to the contrary (usually following a concession)?"
"granted that it is dangerous, all the same I still want to go"

Not only these but also many of such adverbs beautify the writing.
I will be having the explainations of all of these slowly and gradually.
They are nevertheless, how, even so, all the same, nontheless, nonwithstanding, withal,yet,how ever etc.

Asslamulaikum,

More explaination of still,
3)To a greater degree or extent; used with comparisons;
ex:"an still more interesting problem"; "still another problem must be solved".

4)Without moving or making a sound;
"he sat still as a statue"; "time stood still"; "they waited stock-still outside the door"; "he couldn't hold still any longer".
Keep in mind that "Still" can work as an Adjective, Adverb, Noun and as a verb.

B) However: However itself works as an adverb only.

1)Despite anything to the contrary (usually following a concession).
Ex: "although I'm a little afraid, however I'd like to try it".

2)By contrast; on the other hand.
Ex:"the first part was easy; the second, however, took hour".

3)To whatever degree or extent.
Ex:"The results, however general, are important"; "they have begun, however reluctantly, to acknowledge the legitimacy of some of the opposition's concerns".

4)In whatever way or manner.
Ex:"Victory, however it was brought about, was sweet"; "however he did it, it was very clever".

5)In what way or manner or by what means.
Ex:"however did you get here so soon?"

To be continued.............
Regards.
