Change into Passive voice.
Change into PASSIVE voice. Please help me in this regard.
He said, " let us go ". |
If it is being used in Direct and Indirect Speech , it would be >> He told us to go . while in if its in simple conversion from active to passive voice then it would be like >>> Let ourselves be gone .
Please correct if someone in the forum finds it wrong :) Regards |
Another problem to solve
Here is an other confusion. If someone solve that.
What is the past form of " had better" |
I think the sentence in inverted commas is already in passive voice "let us go".
Now considering the complete statement: He said, "let us go." (it is in direct speech) He proposed that they should go. (Indirect speech) |

hummmmm yes it sounds more good boy .. but a little confusion is still there . we never change first person in reported tense while converting from direct to indirect ...... so what it would be
Thanks for correction Usman :) |

According to the rules of Direct/Indirect Narration: All Pronouns of the First Person(I,We,Us) in the Reported Speech are always changed according to the Subject of the Reporting Speech. This is the reason why 'us' in the reported speech has been replaced with 'they' (according to the subject of reporting speech 'He') while changing into indirect narration. |
We were suggested to be gone (by him).

It is done (change voice)
