Idioms

AOA
Seniors please guide me what strategy should be followed to prepare the idioms or even pair of words as there is a very very large number of idioms and it is not possible to learn all of them by heart.

Friend! Just go through the previous papers and prepare those idioms and pair of words which have been given in those papers, that would be enough for your exam. You can also find idioms that have been asked in the previous papers on this forum. Regards
only past papers?? will they suffice??
There are hundreds and thousands of idioms and if one start reading all those, I think, wouldn't be able to, in two months. I had a separate book for idioms but couldn't read even half of that for CE2013. Keep one thing in mind that idioms comprises only a tiny part of the paper and if you want to master it that would, obviously, be at the expense of other questions. So preparation of those idioms that have been given in the past papers is an agreeable option then.
Anyhow Good luck!

The best way for learning idioms is reading standard British English. One ca also collect idioms from Oxford Advance Learners Dictionary. There are many books available in the market but the one published by Oxford would be a good choice. But keep in your mind one thing that you're going to prepare yourself for attempting five idioms. Again, I'll advise you to go after the past papers which is an easy and economical option in terms of time and energy plus better understanding because you've got a limtied timeframe.
