Difference between words
 
Please differentiate between the following words
Rise and Arise
Professor and Lecturer
Elegy and Eulogy

Rise: Move from a lower position to a higher one
Arise: Emerge; Occur

Sun/prices rise whereas situations/conflicts arise.


[B]2. Professor and Lecturer:[/B]

A professor (higher rank) is tenured whereas a lecturer (lower rank) is not.


[B]3. Elegy and Eulogy[/B]

An elegy is a poem, typically a [U]lament[/U] for the dead whereas an eulogy is a piece of writing that [U]praises[/U] someone who has just died.
