My precis
Various theories on the influence of art on human emotions
 Art has always been accused of stirring emotions and disturbing order. According to Plato poetical imagination nourishes passions which ought to be suppressed. Tolstoi perceives art as a source of infection and attributes its excellence to its ability to infect others, but refutes the moment of form in art. An aesthetic experience fills mind with passion as opposed to the sobriety required to make moral judgments. Although Wordsworth regards poetry as reminisces in tranquility, the feelings it invokes are tangible and alive rather than remote. To Shakespeare the function of art is to emulate human nature and present the image of its passion. The poet does not infect us with the passion but strips them bare. Shakespeare’s thoughts are in consonance with that of the great artists. I only wish i could go back in time and give a better title.

During rough work (I prepared two drafts), I thought about “Shakespeare’s Dramatic Theory: A Defence of Art”, but considering it too wordy, dropped it.

lets discuss it here My score in antonymes and synonymes was seven. precis title Art and Passions, 4 out of 5 sentences in direct and indirect speech, 5 sentences correct in correct and incorrect, knew all idioms and pair of words What about you people and what about my experience and performance how much can i score in this paper Regards
