Very good attempt for both precis. I dont feel any need of improvemnt. However for your second precis I would recommend the title as "War and Self Relience", because war has resulted in making people to work for themselves. Khair you can differ as your title is also good.

Also try to be a little faster so that you can spare more time for other questions(agarchay ye time bi teek hay). The only suggestion is to practice more .

bunko bhaya improve your targets. Don't set your target to get just passing marks in English paper. Set your target high so as to achieve at least minimum acceptable level. Always set your targets with an expectation of plus minus standard deviation.

Brother, to be honest, improving grammar is not an easy job. You can not master it in one or two months.. it indeed needs a solid foundation and hard work.

What I advise you to pass out AND get better marks in English is to concentrate on ure spellings, daily do pair of words and learn ure sentences, work on direct indirect and active passive voice. And for Precis, what I do is to take the passage as a story which i narrate in my own words.

For better grammar for CSS 2010, daily read just one simple passage (not difficult and boring one) and analyze its sentence making. It will help u a lot. Plus I assure you that sole weakness in grammar wont land you with with a failed DMS. I personally know many CSPs who passed out because of their analytical approach and facts and figures and knowledge. I am sure you have good knowledge of every subject. In CSS polish those skills which u already have instead of trying to acquire new skills.

Dear I spent my 2 hours daily by reading newspaper (DAWN).
I use to cut important topics and saved them in my C.A files.
I listen regularly "OFF the RECORD" by Kashif Abbasi at ARY NEWS.
People mostly recommend Dawn News etc But trust me no one will benefit you most as Kashif. But I have learned a lot from Kashif Abbasi; He pin point the accurate questions and I use to write important things quoted by Him and Guest speakers.
And I search other topics at Atimes.Com and News.BBc.Co.Uk
