I don't know if that's true or just another rumor. Anyways, we as aspirants must only focus on the trends shaping since 2013. Anything before that falls into the category of being obsolete and redundant.

Thankyou members for your contributions to this thread, I don't know how candidates were able to score as high as 78 in Essay which is just out of the ordinary and hard to believe keeping in mind the scoring trends in the last few years regarding Essay.

Is there any member scoring 60+ in Essay currently active on the forum who can share some tips and strategies into how one can attempt Essay paper which can fetch you good marks?

I've also heard of a retired bureaucrat who scored 98 in Essay in Central Exam way back in 1970's which as you said is redundant and irrelevant now. The pattern of examination (and checking) has massively changed since then. Moreover the competition among candidates for Govt. services has spiked over the years resulting in more stern checking of papers to filter out the population for the cream.

The essay paper was of 50 marks back in 70s.

Then it might have been the 80's, I'm not sure but that's what I heard from a fellow aspirant.

Easy tips by Huzefa Khanum. Also check out Arena of Golden Tips. Candidates 3-4 years ago used to come back to share their tips and experience. People don't do this anymore.

Many tips are overly generalized and contradicting. Some, for instance, purpose to write lengthy outlines, others tell to keep it short and simple.

In this scenario, it would be extremely beneficial for us if somehow, you could manage to post full length essays written by some successful candidates.

For this, they may reproduce what they had written in the exams (although not accurately), or provide us snaps of their notes and the material they wrote during the preparation.

This way, many ambiguities will be removed, and we will have a standard to compare with. Articulation, paragraphing, exposition, narration, expression and qoutes are Big Words, and can be understood only this way.

Please consider this as a request.

Thanks but I've already surfed through and checked that portion of the forum and as pointed above tips are mostly generalized. There have been too much opinions and perspectives on attempting Essay paper by members which often causes confusion and indecisiveness as to which strategy to follow that can guarantee good marks in the said subject.

Though what can help us in this regard is to see written testimonies of CSPs with exemplary scores in Essay, their method and approach, articulation and composition as well as critical analysis of the subject matter. Since it's difficult to find a CSP who'll bother wasting his time to enlighten aspirants like us regarding their secrets to acing the subject in question, it'll be easier if you could somehow convince a qualifier to reproduce an Essay and post it on the forum which will give us an idea of how to approach the paper without going through and relying on plethora of tips.

It'll save us much needed time and can grant us clear cut vision of how to prepare and approach our Essay paper.
