The Society of Higher Education & Industrial Research had also this essay in their database and this has to be the best (tailor-made) essay on this topic. Although I myself attempted this and missed quite a lot from this outline. Nevertheless, this has to be the benchmark for the examiner:

Outline:

1. Introduction
Globalization has led to the economic, political and socio-cultural integration making the world a global village. The prospects of learning to live together are, however, still evolving amid the hurdles persisting to check its course.

2. Aspects of Global Village
- Globalization of economy
- Global integration of politics
- Global village of socio-cultural integration

3. Contemporary Manifestations of 'Learning to Live Together in Global Village'
- Internet and its global use
- International Political Community
- Global Economic Organizations

4. World Learning To Live Together
- The case study of Iran and P5+1 Nuclear Deal
- The Melting of Ice between Cuba and the US
- The traditional rivals of South Asia and the efforts to live together

5. Hurdles in the Learning of Global Village to Live Together
- Criticism on globalization as a threat to national interests
- Gap between the Global North and the Global South
- Economic, literary, cultural and technological backwardness
- Clash of Interests
- Clash of Civilizations
- Weak international institutions

6. Ways to Learn to Live Together
- Strengthening the global institutions
- Minimizing the ideological difference between civilizations
- Pursuing mutual interests and fighting common threats
- Liberalism of trade
- Dialogue to be the first choice of conflict resolution

7. Conclusion

World is called a global village by the virtue of globalization which is a multi-faceted process. Globalization is integration of everything. It can be integration of political, cultural and technological prospects. The most apparent manifestation of globalization is economic and political integration. Similarly, the globalization which plays major role in making the world a global village comes in shape of technological integration.

Global village is attributed with sharing information, products, investments and profits. In political terms global village is featured by presence of an evolved international community at the platform of the UN. The growth of an integrated village brings several benefits to the masses as well as states along with causing trouble for the national interests.

[QUOTE=Mohammed Uzair;938947]World as a Global Village: Learning to live together

(1) Introduction
(2) World's march towards Global Village

• Commerce & trade
• Silk Route established
• Sea routes
• Voyages undertaken by Columbus/ vasco dagama
• Commercial pursuits resulted in social/cultural intermingling
• Imperialism
• Proselytizing campaigns
• Post colonial world order based on international institutions
(3) How world is learning to live together
(3.1) Formation of Nation-States: ground rules for international conduct, rights and Duties
(3.2) Fostering & promoting multiculturalism
(3.3) Cultural & Educational exchange programs
(3.4) Representation & Role in international multilateral organization such as WTO, UNO,IMF & others as a means to have say in issues of common concern

Globalization has been possible after technology specially in the information technology. It has made the world in to a global village. I think, this should be present at this place.

(4) Why World Should learn to live together
(4.1) Common security threat requires joint, collaborative action that can only be possible if states learn to live together in cordial manner
(4.2) Issues of climate change requires well coordinated, joint action plan by national governments for which living together in a cordial manner is a pre-requisite
(4.3) Public health issues: fighting Ebola, Zika virus, and other pandemics
(4.4) Commercial ties foster interdependence, which rules out escape from globalization, thus making it imperative for states to learn to live together
(5) Benefits that living together can accrue
(5.1) Poverty Reduction
(5.2) Sharing of resources
(5.3) Market efficiency
(5.4) Information revolution

At this place, necessarily, the global south and the global north divide should be considered. Globalization has divided the world into the above two. Poverty has not been reduced but increased. Today, sharing of resources( oil, uranium, gas, etc,.) pose threat to the world peace. Market efficiency or Market competition has made economies vulnerable. Consider the economic shock in the post 2008 world followed by the Global Recession. Furthermore, whistle blowing and cyber warfare mainly after the Wikileaks and Edward Snowden, the information technology has made a considerable threat to the world peace.

I don't think that would do much to address the topic. These are the impacts of globalization while the thrust is on ''learning to live together''

(6.4) Islamophobia/xenophobia
