Lets break first part of statement i.e., crisis of good governance - tell what elements makes good governance. According to UN standard, there are 8 points; transparency, accountability, equity and so on. Your causes point is relevant, just keep it simple. Main causes are nepotism, corruption, lack of accountability, favoritism, failure of law implementation etc. Now move to second part - need for reforms and institution building. Here you will discuss what must be done to achieve it. 1. Law implementation bodies (legislative reforms are incomplete without implementation) 2. Role of police in law implementation and reforms 3. Role of accountability institutions - vigilant leadership is requisite for nab and fbr. I discussed that these organizations have required mission and vision, lack of leadership is hindering work of these org. 4. Election reforms to counter oligarchy system. 5. Meritocracy 6. Role of civil society to create awareness in public to counter poor governance measures. Rest of your reform points are excellent, i wish i had thought of them last year I will again emphasize thesis statement is necessary part of essay. Dont ignore it. If you will give examples in essay, it will make good impression, like i mentioned gujranwala board's incompetency in paper checking and deplorable conditions of pia, railway, hospitals, schools under causes section. Hope this helps. |
