Clamping-down the media

World Press Freedom Day is being celebrated around the world but maybe not in Pakistan. The ambit for the media has been dwarfing at a petrifying celerity. About 157 media persons were targeted between May 2017 to April 2018. 35% of them from the Capital – the place which houses all agencies’ headquarters, PM house, President house and countless ministries. GEO TV has been censored without any plausible reason. The journalists and writers complain about being advised not to write on sensitive subjects. The repression, of course, is not unprecedented but the timing sure is. The country ostensibly is on its path towards an unparalleled feat in its democratic history, yet the press continues to be tyrannized by unconstitutional means. The independent press and media are a testament to a burgeoning democracy. The late clamp-down is undeniably a mockery of our supposed nascent democracy.

Seniors, please evaluate the above-written paragraph
Thank you

As for as the the use of vocabulary is concerned, you have used each word perfectly. But, pertaining to material, I have different opinion. You can agree or disagree, it's up to you. The press freedom in Pakistan is more than any other country under the sun. Have you ever witnessed CNN declaring the top notch leadership as traitor? Have you ever seen BBC criticising the british Govt. With reference to their participation in great dash on iraq? Have you ever witnessed anywhere in the world, the media raising hue and cry over the self generated statistics to blame the leadership? Have you ever observed in any country, the media putting false allegations on any political leadership? Why the media is reluctant to show even single frame of positive image of Pakistan? Pakistan is enjoying massive press freedom, but the media persons i.e. Dr. shahid masood (with great sorry) are not being able to make their mark about credibility. Yes, they have become the victim of terrorism, but it doesn't mean that, Govt. Has imposed anykind of restriction upon them. Terrorism is a global issue, and all the factions have become it's vicitm. Media is free and vibrant but not fair. I think, it's the media, that creating problem for itself. Govt. has already done a lot, now, it's media to show responsibility.

I agree with you here, but not wholly. I had to stick to the controlling idea of my paragraph hence only single viewpoint. The purpose of one paragraph is to show one side of the coin, not two. Moreover, I'd like it if you could pinpoint any errors in grammar, coherence, and unity. And about the idea, everyone has their stance.

Thank you a lot for responding.
