Hello!

English essay is the only subject in CSS that is quite vague. Other critical subjects, precis and islamic studies, can be prepared and could be passed with assurance.

However, we should focus on soild things that can, definitely, improve our position in essay paper. These things are

1) Understanding the topic and writing what has been asked.
2) Legible writing, consistency in style of writing.
3) Proper articulation of ideas.
4) No to minimum grammar and punctuation mistakes.

Moving forward to your questions,
Thesis statement
In my view it should be in the end of introductory paragraph
Historical background
I believe there is not much need to add historical background in the intro if the essay is not about some historical event. However, a minor touch of historical background, for the sake of starting the essay, is recommended but it should not exceed 2-3 sentences. This will give a generalised start to your essay along with completing the narrative writing requirement that is mentioned on the note of the essay paper.
Ideal lengh
1.5 pages
Essay development plan
Introduction have following things
General statements(2-3 Could be historical background)+Paraphrasing of outline+thesis statement
Pattern of introduction fixed/notfixed
I believe it is not fixed ,but you have to write a well organised introduction that must include proper flow of ideas representing outline and upcoming essay paragraphs.
There is no fix way of checking the essay paper. So, keep practicing the things that have definite positive impact on your essay.

Hope it helps.

Thanks a lot Theosodius

Your reply has removed much confusion and vagueness regarding introduction.

One last thing you said the introduction should be about 1.5 page.I am at sea as to how we can extend it to that length. Please for convenience, break it down into its small parts of that 1.5 length.

My intro normally stretches over one page or 85 percent of first page.Subsequently,I write transitional lines to connect to next part of outlines or body of essay.

Lets Break down the introduction.

Beginning = 2-3 general sentences.
If your outline have 13 points then one sentence for each point or it could be two for some points. So, 13*1=13 Sentences + 2 sentences for accommodation of transition words and points that you may explain a bit further.
1-2 Sentences for thesis statement.
So, total becomes 19-20 sentences.
I guess that is enough to make your intro to reach 1.25 to 1.5 pages.

Thesis statement is nothing but your stance on topic.

I placed my thesis statement 25% to 30% into my introductory paragraph. Hoping it's acceptable. Writing it too early is not advisable in a CSS length essay.

I also couldn't manage to think of a way to write it at the end of intro because the outline points had to be mentioned briefly, and placing them before thesis statement was difficult without keeping it coherent.

Zainy

There is absolutely no issue with your style of attempting essay. You can steer and manoeuvre the essay according to your convenience.
However, there is caveat to that Css essay is written in a fixed format, and it must be adopted by every css essay writer;for instance there should be outlines and three bodied structure of essay(Intro, main body, conclusion).

Moreover, essay must have three properties of unity, coherence, and logical sequencing. It must have one pivot(thesis statement and your vivid stance)around which your arguments revolve.

Lastly,Essay should be flawless,legible,and well-analysed.

the more you write, the more you will be closer to that css benchmark of appropriateness.
