I think the broader aspect is the better dimension of attempting this topic.

I have seen numerous outlines on this topic and observed that while some candidates have focused strictly on classrooms and what they entail, others have written on the role of education in a broader sense. I, myself, fall in the category of those who have written on education’s role in deciding a nations social/political/economic future with not too much focus on the word ‘classrooms’.

I request members to express their thoughts on whether one could have chosen either of these directions for this essay or a specific focus on ‘classrooms’ was required.
I also attempted this topic and, for the most part, stuck to discussing personality and character development with regards to traditional educational setups. I think the topic statement is ambiguous enough to warrant either of the interpretations you have mentioned.

Classroom means the institution which are running the nation states ... Not a class room deciding the how far an education should be.

That is definitely one interpretation but the most likely one is the probably the literal meaning. Classroom do decide the future of a nation since every single one of us go through that machine in one form or another and it-for the most part-decides our outlook on life and liberty. I don't mean the literal role of the education system in producing professionals that run the state, I meant it in the personality, grooming and character development arena.

I have seen your outline on the Essay Paper 19 thread and it seems really nice. Actually it is outlines like these that make me feel that maybe I misunderstood the topic. You looked at the issue with a humanistic perspective. On the other hand, if we see White Horse’s outline, it looks at the macro level and is great in its own way.

Good luck to everyone.

As the days slip away and the result looms closer, its easier to over analyse things. Don't worry too much about it. To be frank it's all in the hands of the checker and whatever twisted logic they apply to it. Let's all keep our fingers crossed, pray and hope for the very best. Thank you for the good wishes and best of luck to you as well!

Hello, this is my outline as best as I can remember it. The remedial measures of course had more points, I just can't recall them. I took a fairly romanticized view of the topic, rather than getting into the nitty-gritty of the economic, political, social etc impacts of education as a whole. My mother is a Montessori directress and I've attended many workshops detailing the importance of a "good" classroom environment and overall experience for the proper development of a child. I used that to advantage and laced a good many Maria Montessori quotes throughout. There are a lot of things I wish I could change, but I'm overall fairly satisfied with how it went.

1. Introduction
2. Classrooms: Historical and contemporary examples of their role in nation building (Examples of student participation in Pakistan movement, and for the current examples US Parkland shooting survivors rallies on gun control, Swedish schoolgirl Greta Thunberg and her voicing climate change concerns and the French yellow vest movement which is also now being taken up by students for school reforms)
3. Role of classroom in nation building
3.1 socialization
3.2 personality development
3.3 evolution and development of ideas and values
3.4 creativity and innovation
3.5 Transmission of knowledge
4. Hallmarks of a conducive learning environment
4.1 Child-centered
4.2 Participative
4.3 Holistic development
5. Case study of Pakistan: How our classrooms are perpetuating our social, political and economic problems.
6. Remedial measures
7. Conclusion
