Question Why learn writing Essay?
Asalamoalaikum everyone,

I have a question!

It is well known that most of the aspirants fail in Essay. Some of those aspirants, who have failed in the past, might have good management skills and would have performed well on their duty, but because of this subject several aspirants lost their chance and this has been happening for years now. So, this subject must have some value which is why FPSC is not removing it from compulsory subjects.

So, why is Essay in compulsory subjects? Since, all the groups, that we get allocated into after passing CSS exam, are management groups. So, where do we use Essay in our job? Why is it so important?

Essay is the only subject which reflects your personality. This is the only paper in which knowledge of a particualr subject is not the criteria.This paper shows your management skills how do u manage the time and attempt an essay of 2500 words in 3 hours. This paper checks your confidence level and leadership qualities while giving argument to support your thesis. Language and arrangment of paragraph shows your clarity of thought. Critical analysis shows your power of critical thinking. Essay is on general topics and examiner checks your common sense. Few of the essays are problematic when you write this type essay it shows you have ability to resolve a conflict. No other subject can cover these aspects

Very well said and perfectly explained
I would also add that Essay is basically your thoughts and not everyone has the mindset of a bureaucrat. Some people with good English and Knowledge at times fail at CSS because they are too radicals or unrealistic.
