Therefore, a prevalence of digitalisation on all fronts is indispensably required to counter future disasters.

[B]2. Exploring the immediate aftermath of the outbreak
[/B]2.1. Upsurge in online services entailing payment methods and other business services was observed
2.2. Internet usage was greatly amplified
2.3. New online platforms ranging from tele-health to virtual learning were introduced.
2.4. An uptick in digital startups witnessed from the unemployed strata
2.5. Remote interaction at government levels was obliged
2.6. Other distant ways regarding professional activities were stretched out

[B]3. Such behavioural shifts were not without some unavoidable challenges

3.2. Increase in learning losses due to sporadic e-learning facilities
3.3. Lack of IT professionalism in the health system

[B]4. With challenges come opportunities, therefore, there is a need to abridge gaps vis-a-vis digitalisation
[/B]4.1. Train teachers to adapt to virtual way of teaching
4.2. Equip educational institutes with digital facilities
4.3. Responsibility on the part of academia to teach students basic computer skills like spreadsheet and internet browsing
4.4. Ensure equitable and easy access to internet facilities across the country
4.5. Increase awareness and gain trust of people to capitalise on e-services
4.6. Ensure collaboration among the government, banking and telecom sectors to trace and crackdown on cyber-hacking
4.7. Make paperless trading the new normal to avoid hackneyed customs procedures

Inevitability of digitalisation multiplied in the midst of the pandemic. Thus, there is a need to bridge gaps between awareness, adoption and responsibility for better socio-economic performance.


Any country's social and economic growth is dependent on adopting new ways of dong things. The advent of Coronavirus, though battered every public and private sector of Pakistan, has arrived as a disguise to embrace new communication and technological methods. The first quarter of the pandemic made the confusion worse confounded for the people in general and the government in particular to keep things in constancy. And providentially, various sectors ranging from banking and other fin-tech to education and health were quick to shift their behaviours from tangible to blend activities. This rapid shift prevented the economy to completely fallout especially keeping in view already disruptive condition of industries, trade and surging debt. However, there were certain complexity or anomalies witnessed for digital transformation. Inequality of broadband services, lack of awareness to utilise e-services, increasing learning losses, and absence of national policy for data governance, to name a few, were few challenges that created a huge gap and immense confusion among different levels of the society when it comes to provision of digital services. Therefore, in order to prevent marginalised people and social sectors from lagging behind in the race of digital transformation, there is a greater need to improve communications and technological services at all levels in addition to equitable and easy access with a view to enabling the country at large to counter unforeseen future disasters.

Covid-19 has intensified digitalization in Pakistan

1. Introduction
Pakistan was among the nations which had embraced digitalization long before the outbreak of Covid-19 but we failed to get benefits from this modern technology in its true essence. However, the pandemic has pushed the nation closer to information technology as multiple sectors in the country started doing their businesses through digital means.

4. How Covid-19 has intensified digitalization in Pakistan?
4.1. Individuals have started using digital means instead of traditional means
Case in point: the rise in online shopping ( food, grocery items, and other items of domestic use)

Cases in point: ptv online classes, google, youtube, Coursera l, khan academy became ubiquitous among Pakistani students

Most of the individuals in the country shifted from traditional means to digitalization. Similarly, business corporations also used this as a blessing in disguise to promote their businesses. Moreover, the government both at federal and provincial have also become inspired by the modern technology at times of Covid-19 and introduced a kind of digital governance in some of the departments. Nonetheless, the society at large, have gained benefits from digitalization but there are some dangers associated with it which, however, have damaged a large number of people in Pakistan. Yet, the damage is not completely done and we still have the time and resources to resolve the issues at individual, societal and governmental level.

i liked your first portion of the essay.. but in second part, it got boring and cliche`... you ought to have discussed the constrains towards digitalization.. for ex, problem in infrastructure , inequality in access to digitalization, expensive internet packages ( hinderance in way of education ), technology illiteracy ( case of teacher who found it diff to adopt), spread of misinformation ( like in case of COVID many home made remedies were spread as people resorted to e-medicine services)

Suggestions are also mere wish lists... now you need to counter the problem posed by digitalization but ur suggestion should not be wishlists... first suggestion should be to improve access of internet ( do you know many students from FATA regionan d Balochistan had to travel to mountains to get signals??)

also, there is need to incorporate ICT in modern pedagogy tech for better learning exp in digital world

internet coverage and speed is also a big problem in pak...

misinformation is also a big threat

I am seeing few mistakes in your outline. First, in heading no. 4 you mentioned collection of samples at door, which is nowhere near to digitalised efforts. Second, you used first person in your thesis statement which is a huge blunder, third, though you mentioned some dangers emanated from digitalisation like misinformation, you also should've addressed constraints or impediments people came across while changing their remote way of doing things like inability or lack of awareness to capitalise on digital technologies. But your recommendations are well articulated. Few amendments need to be catered
