Default Length of essay

Aoa everyone. This is my first time asking a query here.

I have attempted the exam for the 2nd time this year. Last time, i got 30/100 marks in english essay paper, but I was a bit confused about the length of essay. Last time I wrote around 6 pages/12 sides.

This time also, I have written around around 7 pages/14 sides including the outline. I don't remember the word count exactly.

Is it too short a length? However, in other exams, I even asked for extra sheets, but just couldn't write more in English essay, maybe due to it being the first exam.
Please tell me it is nothing to worry about.

Best of luck for this year's attempt. The length of the essay is a secondary thing, i dont think you failed the essay last year because of the word count. 6-7 pages is more than sufficient if you kept the pre-requisites of an academic essay in mind. My qualified attempt's essay was 1-2 pages lesser than the failed attempt's essay yet i cleared Alhamdulilah, so take this advice with my experience.

It's not about the size of the ship, but how it floats.

At least you got 30 marks. share your topic, the way you write, and how you managed to write the Essay. Share it so that aspirants take some idea with it

Shall be grateful. Thank you

Thankyou!
In 2022, I attempted the last topic regarding mass media.
I think, the thing that worked in my favour was my outline, as I wrote very precise headings and catchy phrases, so that the examiner didn't have to read lengthy statements in the outline.
I forgot to write thesis statement in the outline, didn't know it then that one was supposed to write it there as well.
Tried to spend more time on intro and conclusion. I wrote intro and conclusion in the very beginning, (on the rough page ofcourse) as I knew that in the end I won't have enough time to think.
Didn't flood the essay with facts and figures, wrote only enough ones to make it look like an essay.
Well, these are only some tips that I used. I don't consider myself that well-versed in essay writing so apologies if anything is wrong from anyone else's perspective.

What was your outline on topic no. 2 this year? If you can give a rough but comprehensive sketch.
