Which topics in essay paper should NOT be attempted?

I heard some seniors suggesting not to attempt essays on topics relating to Democracy, Status/Role of women in Islam/Media and Global Warming. It is a general concept that these topics fetch fewer marks. Is it true?

Different people tends to view things differently and I don't agree with those who say not to attempt these topics because these are the burning issues of present time so don't be reluctant to go for any of it... Normally essays of philosophical nature e.g Humanism yields fewer marks so try to avoid those type of essays...

figures definetly gives u gud marks..no matter wt the topic z..

i also agree with u soul reader .... an essay containing good description n points can take good marks no matter what the topic is....

essays about general issues are more scoring as related to present problems in which u can present pros and cons are marks giving.

i have a question regarding essay that if a topic came of general issue like co-education___its merits demerits etc,,,or any similar topic (in which u can present pros and cons are marks giving as such said by Elegant Virgo) then wat will b its outline, would it be simple as asked in the topic mean merits,demerits, its impacts,,,,,,,
can anyone make an outline of co-education or any other same topic,,

well i dont think this topic will cum. anyways regarding this not only impacts is enough u shuld start with intro that include present state of co-education syatem. then elaborate it with religious view , general public view and also with ur personal one. then pros and cons finally conclude in the light of above discussion.

no topic is scoring while at the same time you cannot label a topic unscoring or unscorabale! it is your style, usage of english, vocabulary and above all luck that fetch you good marks! Don't go for scoring or unscoring dilemma!
