Can I write the outlines of essay on the answer book?

Salams. well, can anybody tell me whether one can write the olines of an essay on the answer book or not ?? I hve no idea where one can write those outlines in exams. One shold use an extra page, or on the back of Q paper or in the answer book ?? I really hve essay problem as i faild in it in recent NWFP PMS exam although i got 64 marks in Precise. Pls help.

Utilize last page of your answer sheet. Some times duty incharge of exam hall threats you to remove your pencil work from the question paper in that case you don't have any option other than removing that work from the question paper. That may put you in pressure and waist your time to recall those points again. It is better to be safe than sorry.
