Dear All which books should refer for english composition as i can remove all common errors in grammar and solve easily composition paper.

You should to consult "A Practical English Grammar" by Thomson & Martinet. Published by Oxford Press. It is really a very excellent grammar for correction and learning.

"A Practical English Grammar" by Thomson & Martinet is a bit complex for the beginners.I'll suggest "High School English Grammar & Composition by Wren & Martin" .

I have studied all of the above books and none of them improved my English. The book that really helped me is 'New College Composition' by Dave, Verma and Agarwalla.

The basic difference between the other English books and my prescribed book is that it is designed for candidates appearing in the competition exams. As you know that before the Partition of the Sub-Continent, the ICS exam used to be held in British-India. This book belongs to that era and is written by thoroughly experienced people from that time. It is of value even today. Just read it and you will know what I mean.
