Default Should we write outline even if we are not specifically asked to?

Seniors/juniors.
1).

If ESSAY paper doesnt carry outline instruction than ...is it yet compulsory to write outline or we should not?

2).
2008 essay paper didnt carry outline so i didnt write outline and passed in that.

3.)

In 2008 essay wrote headings (no outline)if headings not allowed how i passed?
luck or negligence from assessor what?
or headings too required?

plz have criticl analysis

There are no hard and fast rules for essay actually.
You may have passed due to your good expression, introduction, body or conclusion, writer may have liked your idea giving style.
2.dly many seniors and teachers do tell that it is immature if we put headings in essay paper for the sake of good impression.... This is what they say due to their experience not from any Law book on essay, whose rules we can not defy

Outline gives good impression that you have planned your essay before directly writing, this gives good impression and helps you remember what you going to write in next paragraphs to keep you on track, otherwise no one is Hard-Disk to keep all the things intact in his mind and move on.

WONT thz cnfuse n make double minded to new aspirants if paper doesnt carry outline instructions..cz 2008 didnt carry n 2009 did.??

Hey this is not a thing to be worried at
They didnt mention in 2008, it didnt mean they restricted you to write outline, so keep on moving with confidence.

N this is not a thing to be deeply scrutinized that it was not mentioned at the start about outline or it was....
