Religious Intolerance has become a part of our society

Introduction
-Definition of religious intolerance
Religious intolerance is,when a group (e.g., a society, religious group, non-religious group) specifically refuses to tolerate practices, persons or beliefs on religious grounds (i.e., intolerance in practice).
-Religious Intolerance in all societies
-Religious intolerance in Pakistani society;
-Suicide bombing
-Recent assassination of Salman Taseer
-Response of society towards it shows the ratio of religious intolerance;religious representatives denied to offer prayers of Salman's funeral
-Islam's teachings for religious tolerance;condemnation of violence, denial of extremism
-Conclusion
Regarding societal changes, attitude towards religion must be moderate
One must stick to teachings of Islam but must not claim to be the real heir of Islam by showing violent behavior to others
Religious education must focus on tolerance and peace

Dear member,

Religious intolerance is due to two extremes in a society of same religion generally and to others particularly. One stands for separation of state affairs from religion called as liberal and the other who favors religions as an essential ingredient of statecraft called extremists, religious or whatsoever.

Liberals consider that religion is a personal matter while the other group stands for its implementation with force or voluntarily i.e. its practices and place it a matter of common benefit.

When their clash reaches to extreme then it bring destruction to the society which results in using force which results in bloodshed. In Islam personally no one has the right to punish someone on any ground and it is matter of state to comprehend culprits. So, in a nutshell, to me religious intolerance is to forcefully impose one's ideas on others.

Default The Apropos!

It's a Nice outline, however Farah, You do not have to put Salman Taseer as a direct example...You can use the assassination of prominent leaders or figures. (Plus skip his funeral)
Secondly...Please express the reason of this intolerance with respect to Pakistan. Extremism and related bombings are by products of this intolerance.

Now solution should be something practical...not mere abstract. It's true that one must show tolerance as it's enshrine in Islam...but at the same time you must put forward the idea of very reform of Mullah Culture. Unify system of preaching by clerics belonging to various sects. Sectarianism and it's balance. In the last the social-economic chaos. I am sure you will get the idea...

@Farah,
the outlines are good. you should also mention the poor educational structure as their is english medium, urdu medium and madrassa system, teaching different ideologies. The political interest of parties and zia regime as the cause of religious intolerance in pakistan.

Very good attempt.but I think some more things are needed.literature as you know is not just confined to plays and novels.you can quote some poets too here.there are many poets whose poetry is a criticism of life.like Chaucer, pope,Dryden etc..

Poetry is at bottom a criticism of life that the greatness of a poet lies in his powerful and beautiful application of ideals of life.

You can quote this quotation as well here,

For the creation of a masterpiece of literature two powers must occur, the power of man and the power of the moment.and man is not enough without the moment..

Here moment means your current scenario..your immediate surroundings which affect your poetic genius to a great extent.

I think this quote ''Literature is the best criticism of life'' is of Mathew Arnold.so you can put his point of view there as to why he said this.

M.Arnold once said that...poetry is a criticism of life and this is true of poetry as it is true of art...

Reality criticized, given form become more than ever something to be for us,something to praise honestly..

Thankyou so much For your response Gul,I was almost disappointed. You are right,I must also discuss poetry as well.Besides I think Urdu literature can also be discussed. What do you say, should we confine to English literature only?

Urdu literature can also be included and not Urdu or English only all the Literature of all socities of all languages. The key, however, that you know what important reference to life that piece of literature depicts. Matthew Arnold said Poetry is the criticism of life. Its important that you refer to his ideas in essay too (This very point, however, forbade me from attempting this essay in 2010).

The important thing in your outline is that you have given emphasis to those pieces of literature, which have been known to you. This is a positive point, because you can better evaluate their influence on life, since, simply, you know their themes etc.

You may also refer to the different Freudian and Jungian interpretation of literature, e.g. Waiting for Godot can be interpreted so, hence talking about human psychology as appears in literature, and described by these canons.

In poets, you must refer to Milton's Paradise Lost, to me its important, it criticizes a religious moral.

George Orwell's 1984 is another example of the mentality of ruling people by altering their language - the principle that says the language controls human life - from old speak to new speak.

As to your present outline, I think it would be appreciated by the grader.

Regards.
