hey memebrs. i jus want to know is making an outline in the paper is must. wat if one dont make an outline and write essay directly ? will it be a cause in marks deduction ?

It is mandatory when it is asked explicitly in the paper. Well articulated outline is a plus point even if it is not asked in the paper.

aoa dear

yes of course it is necessary in essay....
bcoz in css and pms exams it is mentioned to write outline....
dear it will give you advantage over other candidates and will fetch you good marks INSHA ALLAH.....

2ndly if u are not able to write excellent out line then leave 3-4 pages for outline and start ur essay, and in the end write it at proper place.....

but thinking and comprehensive outline will help u to cover all the necessay items and will keep you on track as some member has explained early.....

Good outline is a key to success not only in essay paper but in other papers as well such as C.affairs. Outline must be comprehensive.


In 2010 CSS exam
I wrote essay on this topic.
Can women be equal to men in Pakistan?

My outline was like this.

1. Introduction
2. state of women rights in ancient societies
3. state of women rights in Hinduism
4. Equal status accorded to women by Islam
5. state of women rights in Pakistan
6. Factors responsible for the present state of affairs
7. Crimes being committed against women
8. Steps taken by the present government
9. Hope for the future
10 What needs to be done further?
11 Conclusion.
