Default Importance of Introduction?
All CSP's nd seniors are requested to plz provide their views on the following matter
I attempted essay on Disaster Management And Government Preparedness Outline of essay did not commence with heading Introduction rather the outline(a rough sketch) of my essay went like this

-Disasters....
An act of nature or man made
types ........geological hydro logical etc
-Disaster Management?
Functions
Principles
-Concept of Disaster Management
At International Level (USA France India etc)
National Level
-Disasters in last decade of disasters
-Government preparedness ...........2010 Floods a practical example
-Shortcomings
-Recommendation.........in overcoming
-Conclusion.......

would i be penalized for not giving the heading of introduction????
i started me essay from explaining disasters then moved to Disaster Management nd later Government Preparedness should i expect a good outcome in terms of marks ????

It seems a good and smooth outline to me, although am struggling myself with the Essays.
What I learned from my mistakes is that introduction plays a major part in shaping initial impression on the examiner. So what should be an introducorty part of the Essay and how it must be attempted still requires a brief and expert appraisal.

thanx for ur kind words here and in last post as well...............surely brother introduction plays a vital role .........my problem is that my essay(after outline) commences with an intro of disasters leading to disaster management.......i only skipped the heading introduction in outline, that was my question which failed to attract any attention

First paragraph is always considered an introduction so its not a big problem as such.

In fact in a proper essay, you are not supposed to give headings, unlike in Metric, FSc or BA examinations. Similarly in CSS, a proper english essay is expected of you and headings are not supposed to be given to distinguish each part. The writing should be such that it should it self demarcate the boundaries between introduction, body and conclusion.

Sir you are absolutely rite there should be no headings in essay i was referring to the outline ...........mostly outlines i came across started with the word introduction mine didn't so got worried

Bro if u reproduce the actual introduction then v can comment on your essay because only then ll v b able to see how you proceeded. However, under the given situation I can only say that if ur intro is systematic, u would not be penalized. But the examiner may consider deducting mark(s) out of 10 marks reserved for outlines for not inserting the line “Introduction”.

If actual text of ur essay reflects ur outlines then there is nothing to worry about.

Thnx Bro , i would consider my introduction systematic as i proceeded from disasters its types nd so ,secondly my essay clearly reflects the outlines so i hope everything goes well..........well if the outline of essay is such that it clearly gives an introduction then mentioning the word introduction seems customary ???(would love to have ur opinion on it)
lastly what is total breakup of marks for essay paper ??

brother who can i improve my essay writing skills? because the place where i am right now, have not any suitable person to check my essays.
