@anwaartheravian
You are rite that 78 topics for essay alone are too much, but these topics I have posted here are all from past CSS papers. Note that the common word in all the topics posted here is "Pakistan", and I noted that atleast one topic of essay every year was about Pakistan (you can guess that it makes 39 years from 1971 to 2009 but number of essay topics on Pakistan is 78). I posted this list here only to elaborate the significance of topics related to Pakistan in essay paper. So, infact, this is all for one topic. Hope you got my point.

@KAWISH
Thanx dear, I am not an expert to suggest topics, what I am doing these days is going through old papers, type them and post some of them here. While typing, whatever seems to be repeated often in papers, I note it down. So if u need anything like that, let me know.

Thanx to u all

@kanwal. There is much time for css2011. No one can guess essay rightnow, just start writing on different topics to improve essay writing skills. U should write on current topics. Such, global warming, Pak India relations, Fate of the global war on terror, Afghan war quagmire, Energy crisis in Pakistan, Pakistan and democracy- going side by side? and etc.

The question whether or not there be more provinces in Pakistan is a very important topic for CE-2011. Do not miss it out.

Preparing for 100s of topics is a colossal waste of time. Essay tests your analytical and critical writing skills, not your cramming capability. By preparing more than 10 essays you guys will not only waste your time but also become a victim of 'information overload' and when the paper is in front of you, either everything would vanish from your mind or you would waste 3 hours on deciding what to write or not.

My suggestion would be to stick to 'originality' and have faith in your own skills rather than cramming essays.

Islam versus the west

International crisis in terrorism

Risk of "Soviet syndrome" for Pakistan

Renaissance in the Muslim world : Prospects and perils

Pakistan as leader of the Islamic world (1998)

Muslim perception for west ,and the western perception for Islam (1997)

The scourge of sectarian militancy and ethnic violence in Pakistan (1996)

Trends in Pakistan`s foreign policy

Pluralistic vision of Islam

ISI accusation report

I think these topics are a bit controversial and risky.We can go political incorrect quite easily on them because of not having the "right" perspective. This politically correct perspective might be vague and may vary from examiner to examiner. So I find these topics a bit risky to attempt and would probably avoid them...

If anyone has an idea how to attempt and handle these topics correctly. Please do share your opinions and suggestions. It would be appreciated.

Cramming has been proved helpful though.
