Essay is the most difficult Task. You just have to pass it. For securing high marks, you should work hard in other subjects

I have met with a person who have secured 72 marks in essay....His command on language was very strong and most importantly his words were exact and properly placed.....language development is natural phenomenon which improves with the passage of time...you cant improve it over the nights...However, for good english a student should read and write as much as he can.....writing is most important which most of the apirants escape. To pass the essay paper, i think your text doesnt have any grammatical or spellings error...avoid use of big words unless sure about their proper meanings, intensity and context.avoid cramming and write as simple as you can.length of essay is also important..for good marks, you need to write more than 2000 words and to pass the exam 13-1700 are sufficient but with that length your marks would be in the range of 40-48............Secondly, relevancy is the most important thing for css.....only relevant material will give you any credit.......Finally,dont believe in conspiracy theories.....knowledge has always been appreciated in css...if someone thinks about luck,i would say yes!!! But it only works in optional subjects which have nothing to do with pass or fail........so guird up your loins sharpen your steel, you ll soon be tested.

I would humbly disagree to your point of view because my experience says that length doesn't matter. It's quality of essay that hits the examiner. Therefore, one can't set any standard word limit for good marks.

well, mininum 0 marks and maximum 100, but both are unlikely ;)

so, you have to be satiated with marks in between.. ;)

however, to achieve good marks in essay be original with no silly grammatical mistakes + repetition of words.

one of my teachers likened essay-writing with guiding a small kid through a garden. your examiner is a small kid, so you have to avoid making him bored, just be simple, elaborate your 'kid' the flowers in the garden, don't use 'biological' names of the flowers, this will certainly make him bore... believe me, your examiner is just watching out for blunders in your essay just to fail you.

again i would advise you to be simple and original (in an ingenious way). try to make your intro and conclusion more beautiful. if you are kind of a tricksy person, then you can do better ;)
