Sobeyah, I too went for the same topic with similar approach but failed by 6 marks in Essay past rest I don't know what went wrong!
Essay length was 2500 words as I write big so I have to get an extra sheet was that a mistake?
I wrote that its a myth started with quote gave facts and figures e.g women work 2/3 of the working hour but hold only 1% property
Then the stance of different religions
Then why gender equality is a myth
Then condition of women in Pakistan and its impact
Law passed to counter this myth since inception of this country
Remedial measures and closed the topi c with optimistic poem of shelly!

Length brought me down ? I digress from topic ? Grammar spelling?

All other qualifier comment. I got 50 in composition not very bad at English language

You people are requested to evaluate this essay. Those who attempted this essay in paper would have better idea.

There should be colleges and schools just for men/boys and some just for
Women/girls. (2013)

1. Introduction
2. Brief History
3. Benefits of Co-education

i. Develops sense of Responsibility
ii. Mutual understanding
iii. Flourishes Gender Equality
iv. Creates Competitive Environment
v. Less Financial burden on:
(a) Government
(b) Parents
(c) Students
vi. Provides oxygen to the confidence of both genders
vii. Character Development
viii. Transformation into liberal mindset
ix. Encourages tolerant society
x. Develops better Manpower

4. Demerits of Co-education
i. Sexual harassment
ii. Misbehavior of boys creates problems for girls
iii. Creates inferiority complex among the girls
iv. Health issues with girls
v. Extra Workload problems with girls
vi. Parents are usually against coeducation, especially in less developed countries
vii. Girls have less means to compete with boys
viii. Hostel and room sharing issues
5. How to counter these problems
i. Strict Rules and Regulations in educational institutions
ii. Implementation of these rules should be made sure
iii. Special committee to monitor rules and regulations
iv. Monthly progress of students should be sent to parents
v. Parents should frequently visit the institute
vi. Pros and cons of co-education should be made clear to the students
vii. People should be broadminded

6. Conclusion

It is not necessary there should be separate educational institutions for girl and some for boys. Although coeducation system has many flaws in it, it is somewhat better than separate education system. The benefits of coeducation are myriad. It develops the sense of responsibility in girls and boys. This sense of responsibility develops when the both genders see gender-based responsibility of each other. Besides, coeducation system boosts the mutual understanding between the two. Furthermore, gender inequality is a common problem all over the world, especially in less developed countries. When both the genders are combined together in a same institution, this sense of inequality decreases. Moreover, it also enhances the environment of competition. Most crucial thing is that coeducation decreases financial strain on government, parents, and students. This is because government does not have to establish separate institutions for he both girls and boys. In addition, this system makes the people liberal, confident and tolerant. Last but not the least, through coeducation system equal manpower (male and female) could be produced.

There is no disputed fact that coeducation has some flaws in it, but these flaws can be mitigated by strict rules and regulation in academies. These rules can be supervised by special committees. Parents shod frequently visit the institution and try to lay their hand on monthly progress reports of their offspring. Here broadmindedness of the people is the key without which this system may not survive very long, especially in less-developed countries.

Conclusion

Coeducation system is in no way a bad system. It has many advantages such as it flourishes a sense of gender equality which is need of the hour. Besides, it encourages the competitive environment between the two genders. Competitive environment in educational sector is imperative as in case of Pakistan there is no such competition and same is the situation with other less developed or developing countries like , India, Bangladesh, Srilanka too name but a few. By adopting coeducation, as done by the west, system, it also help with respect to finance, because people do not bother to send their children far flung areas. Thus it is safe to conclude that coeducation system is far better than the other traditional system of education.

attempted Gender Equality is a Myth and got 33 only. used different forms of discourse and encircled the topic using different approaches, different feminist schools of thought in a liberal way (reinterpretation of religious text et al.) with more emphasise on social construction theory. the main reason behind attempting this topic was my Msc in Gender and Women Study. I think that my liberal approach have been penalized. the rest is history

Sorry i don't remember outline, i only remember i started my essay with the quote written on jahangir world times website ''An education isn’t how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It’s being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don’t.”
I told case of makkah and how islam changed the way of life of those people, also mention the work of sir sayed ahmad khan.
