Default essay- conceptual clarity
I want enlighten members of the forum to actively participate in this thread. After spending a month with Sir Altaf Ansari in Lahore i have come to conclusion that essay writing would not be a hard task if one has conceptual clarity about different topics. Here, i am taking initiative. By God this practice will show miracles. Every one is free to comment and criticize. best of luck.

Default Topic 1: Status of women in Pakistan
My concept about women status/position/empowerment/plight:

First of all, it should be made crystal clear that neither Islam nor constitution of Pakistan recognize any difference between men and women.

Constitution+ religion<> equality.

In spite of this, women live a deplorable life and beset with myriad of issues such as:

Deplorable health conditions
denial of educuation
heinous customs i.e., karo kari, swara and vani, marriages with Quran.
Acid throwing
Honour killing
lack of motivation
harrastment at work place
Rape
blackmailing etc.


Why due status of women not achieved?
Factors/obstacles/hurdles:

Lack of education
strong feudalistic hold
conservative minded people
orthodox mullahs
Religious political parties
poor legal cover

Repercussions of women lack of participation in the affairs of the state?

Suggestions

education
role of media
ulama
civil society
proper implementaion of policies
