I guarantee you it is only the quality that matters. You can pass the essay with flying colours just by writing less than 10 pages. Last time, someone secured 40 marks after outputting 6 pages.

I wrote on the same topic. 9 pages. Please share outline.

kingfalcon Sunday, February 15, 2015 06:35 PM

I wrote 1.5 pages outline and 6 pages on essay.. Spent too much time on outline so had to shorten the essay but I touched all the points related to abuse of human rights due to war on terror.

Do you guys think about 1500-1600 words is enough to pass it? Gave two nice quotations in the end as well..

ayeshamehreen Tuesday, February 17, 2015 04:10 PM

If your material inside the essay is relevant to the topic and grammatically correct then I assure you 40 marks.

hasankharal Tuesday, February 17, 2015 08:46 PM

1792 words. Introduction of new digital technologies has radically altered identities.

kingfalcon Wednesday, February 18, 2015 12:22 AM

I was doing some searching on the forum and came across many posts by people who have cleared Essay paper saying that pages and words don't matter, it's the quality that matters. People have passed it with 1200 words even. I don't know why we Pakistanis are so obsessed with quantity and literally measure our answers instead of focusing on doing justice with the question. Every question has it's own nature and demand, it may be fulfilled in 10 bullet points or 10 pages, it depends. I got so shocked that people were drawing margin lines on papers and writing 5/6 words per line with huge font size just to add more pages, what do they think, that the examiners are kids?

darkmoon Wednesday, February 18, 2015 12:43 AM

i have always asked people not to focus on the word count but instead on the content they are going to write in it. but i guess it usually falls on deaf ears.
i have always asked people not to focus on the word count but instead on the content they are going to write in it. but i guess it usually falls on deaf ears.
However, i ain't deaf :dd i did the same, focused on what i am writing. merely wrote 9 pages with more or less 1800 words. My outlines and grammar were perfect. Now it depends on the examiner how he deems my expressions.

MAHEENABBAS Monday, March 02, 2015 01:33 PM

i did not focus during paper how much words i have to write or how many pages i just focus my mind on one thing i have to be precise to the point and have a birds eye view of all the relevant material. after completing my essay half hour prior time i count my pages i wrote 13 pages in total but at last i was satisfied what i did. hopes are high agr composition nahi gya to i know i am done:P

Thanks..

Focus on your graduation first I would say.. But along with your studies, read a bit for your CSS exams.. Choose the subjects that interest you the most and are easy to cover. Work on your english skills as much as you can, daily reading of DAWN is a must (first two pages, opinion-editorial pages in the middle and last two international pages. Focus on the important and relevant topics more than others)

It was quite interesting in my case. I wrote 17 pages in essay and in last paper, i.e. Public administration I finished writing at 21. No of pages increased gradually from first to last paper.

If what you wrote was relevant to the questions asked, then definitely you will pass the exam with flying colours. Otherwise, I think if a person is rambling on and on the examiner may get bored of reading your response. Most people simply copy/paste what they have crammed from guide books. The question is, will writing the same things that everyone else is writing, help you stand out? I was nowhere close to writing as many number of pages as you in public administration. This is my first attempt, so I will see where I stand with regards to the strengths of my arguments. I wrote fewer than average pages in every paper.

Relevancy is must. I divided each question into objectives and made headings and addressed them

Loveu Bartowski Tuesday, March 03, 2015 11:56 AM

Guyz there are more than one ways to pass the essay. It's true that relevancy matters but if you have written a huge number of pages, then examiner must think before failing you. I wrote 52 pages in CE-2011 and 34 pages in CE-2014 and this time wrote 36 pages excluding outline of about 5 pages for Topic# 1, but it is not the Essay but P&C I am most worried about :pp

Sir, With normal font? And without leaving lines? If yes, then 52 pages are awsome. Will you share your score for writing 52 pages in CE 2011?

Dear you wrote enormous words, how many marks do you bag for each essay?
Do the number of pages in an essay really matter?the contents of the essay hve real weightage....
Economy of words may matter in order to increase numers but relevance should be the first priority to play safe, in essay i think we shall play safe and get pass only, i passed Css thrice and three times my priority was to play safe.
