The higher education commission (HEC) was introduced in 2002 by general prevez mushraf to stabilize and revamp the higher education system in pakisttan .hec has upgraded infra strecture of higher education …….it produced a number of students , attracted forign faculity to teach in local universities ,it gave funds for research and provided scholarships to students to study in forigen ….hec has played a leading role in building a knowledge based ecnomy in Pakistan ……..

CAUSES leads to inception of hec
Pakistani higher education was in doulderms .there was not any authrioty to control educational standerds …pakistani students degrees were not recognized internationally …in universities rankings Pakistan was not in compition with any country …there was lack of universities and there were lot of problems with students in technological field and students don’t had eligible teachers to teach them….
Present education system and hec
Owing to inception of hec Pakistan has made good progress in higher education ….since 2002 good number of extraordinary changes have taken place ..first time in the hisyory of pakisatn the 5 universities of Pakistan are ranked at 350 number in the top 600 universities of world.. over the last six months 4000 scholers have participated in phd programmes , and more than 600 studients have studied forign phd programmes . hec upgraded universities by providing plateform for research , cirricul revision nd by takingcontrol over fake dagrees .. hec has increased enrollment of students in universities and increased a number of universities in Pakistan…..
Hec and future of Pakistani students….the creation of hec has positive impact on higher education in pakistan ..a number of students is increased and encouraged by hec……..and as hec has introduced 4 year undergraduate programme so dagree of pakistani students is recognized internationally , hec has enhanced research programes in universities that has proved very benifical step for recognition of Pakistani students dagrees internationally because in forign the dagrees are not recognized without practicle work…so dagree recognition ,scholer ships quality education provided hec would lead Pakistani students in future to success …..

Dramatic change in Pakistan education system..
The presence of hec in Pakistan is regarded as Pakistan golden period in higher education …hec has revamped higher education in Pakistan to the hilt …it increased university enrollment from 135000 in year 2003 to 400000 in year 2008 . research was promoted that results in huge expansion of international research publication from Pakistan from only 600 research apers /year 2003 to 4300 research papers in 2008… pkistan won four international awards in the leadership of prof atta-u-rehman and 5 pakistani universities were ranked at 350 no in top 600 uni,s of world ..fpe establishment of higher education 51 new universities were formed and about 5000 phd lavel scholarships awarded for study in technologically advanced countries and 3000 indigenious phd scholarships have been awarded … a finest digital library is formed and for free access to scientific literature , high speed internet was provided for all universities and first time the ranking system of universities is introduced in Pakistan and hae has proved to b filter for fake dagrees ..hec has brought such a change that Indian advisor of prime mister reported that Pakistan may soon join china in giving India a serious compition in science….
Causes lead to dissolve hec… the main reason of dissolving hec was due to unavailability of funds to sponsor forign studies of students …it is said that its budget was increased sevev times from 2002- 2008 but it was not availed for hoiher education , the big amount of money was spent on research projects that failed.. it is also said that hec was just pauing heed at quantity of education not at quality of education…

If hec would be dissolved the dagrees of students would not be recognized internationally and as hec has enhanced research programme and if that would be checked then pakistni students would not be able to apply at Europe because they see only practicle work … and as hec has control on fake dagrees so that trend can again prevail in Pakistan …there would be no more funds for betterment of higher education
Future of Pakistan education without hec
Hec has enormous effects on higher education . if hec is dissolved students would have inadiquete sources for studies .. Pakistani universities ranking can be back from top list of 600 unis.. if there would not be system of curriculum revision education cant reach to high standerds .. the main thing that dagree would not be accepted .. here would be no more scholarships ,no more teachers trainings and there will be no more dreams of quality education in Pakistan
Conclusion
Hec has transformed stsnderds of education in Pakistan to the hilt… that is very necessary for development of Pakistan ,, though it is accused of spoiling money on futile research projects thtt failes and not only not providing funds to students to study in forign also for paying more than enough fees to teachers .taht makes higher education more expensive.. but in the list of good and bad deeds of hec it has surely enhanced higher educayion system in Pakistan .. so devolution is not panacea for hec but there should be some allertion in its programmes and government should let it be at federal administration…
