one thing to correct here that is Islam doest not give right of dowry to women.in fact, there is no concept of dowry in Islam because sole responsibility to maintain house is of husband so he provide those thing to furnish such things which we calls a dowry and gives to our sisters and daughters. this is typical hindu tradidion and not muslim, on the contrary, Islam enables the righ of dower for a women at the time of marriage which is essential element for the contract of marriage and consideration for women for the contract of marriage.

Need a sea change in our thinking

Every now and again i encounter the people who heap encomiums on a writer who write extensively on Islamic topic. My personal view is that Islam won't change the present plight of women no matter how much we try by copiously presenting Hadis and Ayats as it is like a hair spitting debate which interminably debated, but we get nothing out of it. All css aspirants should also discuss the present critical situation in pakistan like burgeoning menace of intolerance and ethnic violence in karachi. please just don't write to receive admiration from people like me who just speak lie but to write to improve not only your writing skills but also your thinking. We should also write to criticize the whole system including present Blasphemy law and hadood ordinance. after all no one going to fail you if wrote anything like i mentioned. i hope the moderator won't mind on my comment given the level of extreme religiosity.
doli ur essay presents a coherent outlook, hope u will get through ia

@doli i appreciate ur efforts but i have an objection that women have right to deny doing all the chores of home...it sounds like rude ill mannered.... bz its her duty to serve her husband & his home...The true Muslim woman devotes herself to taking care of her house and husband as done by many of the virtuous women in Islamic history....:thinking

i have only one objection on urs essay and that is that you wrote in every heading Right,Right and Right .its not attractive according to my view.u should change the sequence and use some synonyms words for Right such as appropriate, condign, conscientious, deserved, due, equitable, ethical, fitting, good, honest, honorable, justifiable, lawful, legal, legitimate, merited, moral, proper, requisite, righteous, rightful, scrupulous, stand-up, suitable, true, upright, virtuous .
Avoid regular use of "Netspeak" or other "cute" grammar or spelling (For example: writing "R U a woman?" instead of "Are You a woman?").

we can not say no to our husband ,,,islam does not allow us to do such types of things
as we are told that if ur hasband is calling u and that time u are busy in your prayer, u should leave that prayer but not to deny ur husband.......and God does not like this when a woman say no to her husband Allah has declared a husband as a mizaji khuda ,,,and said that those women who does not obey their husbands wii suerly be in hell for ever
