intro of my essay::
Energy crisis is one of the serious problems which Pakistan is facing at present.the energy shortfall fluctuates between 4000MW-9000MW. this situation has arisen because of apathy of government,provincial mistrusts and lack of conservative measures.the energy crisis has brought serious consequences which have affected the political,social and economic sectors of our country. To prevent these adverse effects we should adopt conservative measures and produce energy through alternative resources.

ms hijaab, essay is about causes and conquences and i think one shouldnot add methods to produce energy, i e renewable and nonrenewable. It s my opinion and may be wrong. Overall it is a good outline if explored well then good marks can be attained

dear ur intro is some what worthy but u mentioned that the shortfall is between 4000 to 9000.while the real shotfall is around 4000 megawatt.

delay oil and gas payment to IPP's.are further key to causes.Therefore u also mentioned that transportation is also factor of cuses.While it is not.

Dear Samreen!

I think one must have focussed on CNG boom (Pakistan is largest consumer of CNG with 2.5 millions of vehicles converted to CNG as a fuel). For this is the very reason why our Industry is continuously suffering.

Other enegy resources must have been elaborated in this fashion.

Being engineer, one can identify the root cause of electric shortage due to the Oil, Gas, CNGs est. Electricity is a production of process having an input of either oil in various forms like HFO, Diesel, Petrol est or Gas in the form of Natural GAS OR LNG est.( in which Pakistan is lagging behind to produce significant amount).

Renewable energy sources could be tapped but unless infrastructure requiring years of production, transmission and distribution system is not established it cannot replace conventional non renewable sources currently being used by Pakistan ( IPPs, Dams, est).

Therefore, conventional systems require input of Oil and Gas and hence as far as energy crises of Pakistan is concerned, much attention has to be paid to this sector; Export of Oil/Gas, Inflationary prices of Oil/Gas, Natural Gas shift from industrial to commercial uses like that of CNG stations queued up on GT Road, CNG buses est. But production of Natural Gas is not enhanced w.r.t demand as highlighted. Therefore, backbone of energy crises is reliance on production techniques requiring Oil/Gas as fuel.

This is some of major points i have in my mind now.

I have already my outline in this section. As of now I do not remember exact wording of the introduction and conclusion part. But it was something like this.

Energy Crisis

Energy has become lifeline of any country nowadays. Economic activity is directly linked to its availability. But unfortunately, the current supply of energy is not upto the demands. This has created a situation of crisis.

Today, most of the countries of the world are facing energy crisis. Pakistan is no exception bla bla bla...........


Conclusion

What is needed now is the prudent use of existing resources of energy available to us combined with firm and expedient development of new resources of energy. Renewable resources of energy should be exploited efficiently. Only in this way we can make Pakistan a bright star in the comity of nations.

These are some lines that I remember. I wrote 12 pages in all. 2 pages for outline and remaining 10 pages on the introduction, body and conclusion of the essay. What I remember is that I made three drafts of outline on last 2 rough pages and then a final draft on the first 2 pages. This activity of outline consumed me a good one hour, then in remaining two hour I just wrote, wrote and wrote untill the invigilator reached over my head to collect the answer book back, when I was writing last line of conclusion.

well samreen, i also attempted this essay, as far rating iz concerned we all can just pray for one another:). your outline is pretty gud
Nd what i hav written in ma essay i cannot remember now, the only thing i remember is that
1) i did nt write remedies or suggestion in outline as it was not asked for
, i gave some suggestions while concluding the whole discussion at the last.
2) agri+industrial poor performane are both the sub-points of economic losses on the score of energy crisis, i hav summed up in one point
3) in causes not only power or electricity should be considered but gas+coal should also include in discussion, as thar coal nd import of cheap gas is not being done effectively due to bad management etc

and the rest will share as soon as i could remember.........
