No national progress possible without a comprehensive justice system in place.

Outline:-

1. Introduction:

National progress can indeed be ensured by providing the people of a country with an effective and sound comprehensive justice system. Moreover, such a justice system will not only ensure safety and security of the general public, it will also provide the adequate environment essential for the national progress of the country. However, Pakistan’s justice system is in perils when it comes to providing justice to the general public in matters of resolution of disputes or convicting criminals for their alleged crimes. The justice system in Pakistan needs to be improvised in a manner that will ensure safety, security and justice for all in the country without any kind of discrimination on the basis of gender, religion or race. Therefore, Pakistan needs to adopt an effective Justice System for the betterment of society to make sure that the country's progress is not halted.

2. Essentials of a comprehensive Justice System:

a) Impartial investigation by police
b) Effective Prosecution
c) Witness Protection Programs
d) Right to justice for every concerned party in cases
e) Impartial Judges
f) Timely Justice

3. Ensuring National Progress with such a comprehensive Justice System in place through:

a) Reduction in Crime rate
b) Safe and Secure Environment
c) Public’s trust in the Justice System
d) Reduction in general sense of fear
e) Effective Policing
f) Making sure criminals are behind the bars

4. Case Study: Pakistan’s Justice System

a) Ineffective Policing
b) Inadequate Prosecution
c) Risky Witness roles
d) Delayed Justice
e) Low Conviction Rate
f) Poor Prison Facilities

5. Improvements needed in Pakistan’s Justice System to ensure National Progress at all levels.
