Conclusion

Introduction

Twenty first century Pakistan is fraught with numerous serious issues that are eating away the very fabric of her polity or eroding prospects of her respectable existence among comity of nations. If one starts tracing down the most potent reason of this degeneration of Pakistani society ,one ends at non-performing-nay- negatively performing Education sector.Education system of Pakistan has become a white elephant that is largely producing pathetic parrots & indifferent elites because the system has been wronged by the absence of vision, unavailability of resources,un(under)trained or uninterested teaching staff, old curricula & teaching paradigm, different mediums of educating & mindless policy making or criminal negligence by ruling elites.New era of technical advancement & knowledge economies is not all about hard power to rule or sway the word. This era rather demands soft power that mainly originates from culture, values & supremacy of a state in educational field. It maintains or nurtures national integration, helps citizenry to explore socio-economic success individually or collectively & have bearing on Human development in all spheres of life.
The crossroads of history where Pakistan stands today is not result of political mismanagement only. The situation is also the direct outcome of erstwhile or present ruling elites' criminal apathy towards educational profile of citizenry.Nonetheless,Constitution of Pakistan guarantees right of quality education.First,non-justiciable right by incorporation of Article 37-b in constitution to justiciable right by 18th amendment's Article 25-A,importance of institution of education has been acknowledged by State. Now Pakistani State is bound to provide free and compulsory education to all children of 5-16 years age. However, looking at ground realities like adult literacy rate 54.9% or allocation of less than 2% of GDP,disillusionment sets in.After independence Pakistan inherited colonial system of education, only one university(Punjab University) & education-wise barren population.Sixty six years down situation has been improved ostensibly albeit far from satisfactory.Low literacy level of society has been directly or indirectly pushing nation into abyss of poverty & extremism.Imposing education emergency on papers to practical steps like minimum 4% of GDP spending to implementation of Article 25A in letter & spirit, revision of syllabus & teaching method, teachers' training on modern lines, plugging lacunae in provision of quality education are needed to reorient standing of Pakistan & it's people among other nations. Quite well done. You could give these points also.

. Madersah Education system.
. Exam systems in Pakistan (COPY CULTURE IN SINDH)
. Defects of eduction system (WHY EDUCATION SYSTEM BEING CONSUMED?
. Output of our poor education system.

How to stem the rot & plant a bright future (Cures)

a) Government's role(federal/provincial)
b) Awareness campaign through Media & Role of SCO's

Give all remedies. Means, What government's role is; Give all sub-headings.

I thought, these are necessary. Write them in order.

Overall good efforts.

Regards,

@pearl your essay is quite fine....the only thing which i wana add is to avoid going into the history as most of the css checkers dn't recommend it...I have read with several css checkers, they were strongly against historical background.whenever i wrote hist. Background they used to cut that portion out..hahaha...however,just write a para not more than that. Also, try to write as simple as possible, usage of difficult and complex words will never help you to fetch good marks. And yes,are you a repeater ?if yes,in which paper or papers you got failed while appearing for the first time?

nadiamughal Sunday, August 12, 2012 08:20 PM

Nice attempt but i think you focused much on history like constitution more in essay..As we learnt from our teachers that try to add recent things in your essay relate to current happening instead of more focus on background or history.. :)

Thanks for suggestion.I shall follow.I assigned one para for past policies as it is a critical appraisal & downfall of education sector is not a recent phenomenon,in fact dated back to early post independence days' policies. Thus i thought it would be pertinent to mention that stuff.

Thanks for giving your time...but where i focused on history dear?Constitution of a state is not history.i mentioned the relevant clauses, most important clause was added via 18th amendment(2010).So...a bit confused:blink: could you specifically pinpoint that ill-focus,dear??

Your thesis statement is pretty longer. In order to read it, one requires a deep breath. Never mind kudos to you. You could have started your thesis like this: our education systems are based on haves and have-nots or the Marxian class struggle. Then you could have divided each education system according to Marxian class. for example, O' Level for upper middle and upper- upper class, government for middle and lower-middle class and madressah for lower-middle and lower class. In this way, your whole essay would have been highly organized and coherent. most people resort to verbose and bombastic language which was the Victorian era style. Nowadays examiner prefer above mentioned two qualities. By the way, your effort is commendable.........
