My outline was:

(ii) .......................................or bhi kuch points likhe is me...yaad nahi

(i) to make the people mentally strong

5. Conclusion....
Last quotation likhi magar half as invigilator snatched the paper because time was over

Problem is that my length was not more than 1000 words with no proof reading except Introduction and Conclusion..

i think this essay was meant to denounce the prevailing concept of education i.e obtaining degree merely for the purpose of getting job and luxurious life by presenting the true meaning of education that is awareness regarding oneself, one's society etc...and accordingly the purpose would have been character building, promotion of critical thinking, cognitive development, making this world a better place to live, knowing the unknown be it in the form of discoveries, solving mysteries, or innovations etc

I second your opinion. The main point to ponder here was the explanation of real meaning and purpose of education. which is of course :
To make human beings different from other creatures.
Enable human beings to live peacefully in this world.
Character building.
Mutual harmony among fellow beings.
To ease the life on earth.
cognitive development and so on.....

well i have not written on meaning and purpose of education but to me the most important areas in this essay would be mental,physical and spiritual education

I started my essay with a well known quote "Reading without reflecting is like eating without digesting" (Burke)
I don't remember exact wording of my intro but my first line was ; Education liberates mankind from shackles of desperation and disparity to the light of knowledge. It brings revolutionary and evolutionary changes in human nature etc.

Conclusion: I compared social sciences with natural sciences. With the exploration of natural sciences men have penetrated into sky, landed over the moon and discovering many secrets of universe yet they do not have control on their nature. A man can be a good scientist but can not be a good human unless he reflects what education demands. etc
