Length of Essay

Assalam o Alaikum! What should be the length of an essay? I have come across some essays which are more than 20 pages and two pages need to be dedicated for outlines only. And please also tell me whether we need to make outline in the paper? Thanks in anticipation.

It depend on your quality of essay not essay size and length......

outline is very necessary. no need to make your essay more than 1400-1500 words. use simple language and vocabulary. be precise and to the point.

Thanks for the comments, I am trying to attempt different essays from a couple of days and everyday it gets better and better and more easier. I have a lot of vocabulary that I earned from newspapers and BBC but to recall it at the proper time is a difficult task for which I am trying hard.

Essay length does not mean anything

you should have complete command over what you have done.

Complete & composed essay of 12 pages with complete outline which is well expanded and well connected till the comfortable conclusion rather than an essay of 20 pages with incomplete conclusion and weakly connected outline points.



Quality matters, quantity just adds probability of more errors.
