There is a common saying that greed for acquiring absolute power breeds violence. Greed for power has been enriched in the blood of man and it is due to the fact that world has been a battleground for human race since its emergence in dominating others in some way or the others. Because they have been trying to acquire absolute power, the concept of using violence is the first rule of the society rather resorting others means to settle mutual dispute, for it undermine their scheme of acquiring absolute power. Precisely, the word violence may be used in certain ways; some say that it is the prerogative of the incompetent authority when certain unpopular policies are imposed over general public by force which in turn creates rebellious movements against the incompetent authority, others view in it the persistent effort to dominate the world at large by using inhuman schemes in acquiring absolute power. Sociologists argue that nothing is absolute in the world than death itself.
From the emergence of life on the earth, man’s life is divided in three stages, hunting life, agriculture life and the modern industrial life. Historian says that hunting life was the class less life of the man where different hunters tribes had been waging persistent wars in receiving their subsistence only. Agriculture life created feudalism where later butchers the former either by physically or economically in imposing heavy tenures. Similarly, the modern world, in spite of recorded the most civilized world, too has resorted to violence in acquiring absolute power on others. In acquiring absolute power they have don’t care for other nation’s freedom. Though the contemporary world is far better than old world, because it has learnt universally the importance of maintenance of peace of the planet, after catastrophic aftermaths of human tragedy in Second World War, and have taken certain measures to maintain it by creating world organization. These are the lessons of resorting to violence in Second World War. Unfortunately, it seems the world has forgotten the lessons of universally the importance of maintenance of peace. Soon after the creation of United Nations Organization, the world experienced once more a ideological war between bipolar world which is known in the history with name of Cold War, later on emerging of unipolar world with the slogan of New World Order, rise of nationalism, therein before, the world is transferring now from unipolar to multipolar. The bipolar world produced intimidating threat of nuclear war for almost five decades to the world nation, the presence of multipolar world can endanger the peace of the world if it will not be given power to UNO’s General Assembly. If one analyze the world populated with men, it seems violence is the only way to settle the disputes of the world.
