Default Introductory Paragraph
  1. As a rule, every paragraph should have only one main idea. But in introduction (which also one paragraph), we have to give a brief summary or road map of whole essay. So instead of having one main idea, introduction will contain many ideas. So will it not be violation of this rue i.e having multiple ideas in one paragraph(introduction)?
  2. What should be the ideal length of Introduction?

1. The thing that a paragraph should contain only one main idea is about body paragraphs.
2. Introduction serves the purpose what a trailer of a movie does. It introduces all the main themes of an essay, main examples, and most importantly attracts reader's interest in the essay, and manifests importance of it as why your essay is justified for above 40 marks.
3. An introductory paragraph should vary between 100 to 125 words.

So does it mean that introductory paragraph can have multiple ideas, instead of one main idea?

100 to 125 words mean half page. is it not very short?
