Which Planet Has the Most Moons?
The planet with the most moons in the Solar System is Jupiter, with a total of 63 confirmed moons (as of 2009). Of course, it’s always possible that more moons will be discovered orbiting Jupiter in the future, and that number will go up.
Eight of Jupiter’s moons are regular satellites, with 4 large, spherical moons, and 4 smaller moons that orbit closer to Jupiter. Jupiter has an additional 55 tiny irregular satellites. The planet with the second highest number of moons is Saturn, with 61 moons. With such a close total, more moons could easily be discovered circling the rings planet, and push its total higher. The next planet with a high number of moons is Uranus, with 27 known moons. This is followed by Neptune with 13 moons, Mars with 2 moons, and then Earth with its single moon. |

Almost all the available books on EDS says that Jupiter has got 16 moons and saturn has 22, which has more moons than any other planet.
Friendly Advice: To save yourself from humiliation at the hands of examiner then confirm it by going through the textbooks provided by the government.

Actually Tania is right.
Jupiter has 67 moons, with 50 known moons and 17 provisional moons (pending discovery) as of 2013, NASA Solar System Journals. You can check with the website. USGS Astrogeology: Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature

I have two books of EDS (Encyclopedia of EDS and A. Kashmiri) and they both are showing Saturn as the planet having large number of moons, so I regret that if the quality of the stuff available in the market are maintaining this standard then God knows what would be the future of those people who don't have access to the modern means of education and are wholly dependent on these archaic sources (I was one of them).
