i would suggest that don't go for Detailed Notes. Simply pick up the MCQs from the Past Papers, and start solving them in the below mentioned order.

(1) Deficiency of Vitamin A causes:
(a) Night Blindness
(b) Aids
(c) Scurvy
(d) Malaria
(e) None of these.

Try to look for short answers on the internet. So search Vitamin A first. Note down the details: Vitamin A: Water Soluble/Fat Soluble, Sources of Vitamins, Need for the Vitamin.

Then search option (a), (b) etc and make short notes for them.

So in the end with around 50 MCQs you will be able to solve approximately 50x 6 different topics. That will be more than sufficient.

Then go for the Long Questions and make short notes of them. If you look at the recent trends you will be able to see that you need to put conceptual stuff on the paper and not the scientific jargon that was previously the case.

more than 60% of the paper brother. For example: this faisalabad re-examination questions have all been previously asked in MCQs so if anybody had done MCQs in detail, he would have sailed through the exam in flying colors

Have a look at past paper. Read the topics thoroughly then make your own simple and short notes up to the point. Figures also play an important part in EDS (where ever necessary)

For History subjects you will have to start with detailed notes and then fine-tune them to single points in the end (with a revision of 2-4 times you will be able to learn most of the facts and figures).

For English Essay: Try to gather points from talk shows, newspapers, internet, books etc for the topics that you intend to attempt. furthermore, try to go through the essays on the internet (just to get an idea of how to write an attractive and captivating essay)

For English Precise: can't comment because i never made any notes for them.

For Islamiat: The Friday dawn features are more than enough if you want to appear in Islamiat English. No need to go for any other books or articles if you want to score in the range 50-60 (which is good enough).

For Pakistan Affairs: Again it is a recursive process. Iteration 1 notes: long notes gathered from here and there. Iteration 2: refine them and bring them in a logical pattern. Iteration 3: substitute paragraphs with simple lies. Iteration 4: Bullet forms (with very basic information assuming that most of the facts would have been memorized during these iterations).

for Current Affairs: JWT i s a must. You can attempt any CA paper with JWT and of course you need to be a keen newspaper reader
