It's even more difficult than Guyton if the student doesn't have prior medical background because it rushes to summarize topics without properly explaining them. No one can say that Firdaus is easier than Guyton. I would recommend you to buy Fsc part 1 and 2 biology books. All human physiology chapters are clearly explained; you can grip these with little effort. Also, there are not enough diagrams in firdaus to support the text.
There are no hard and fast rules for general knowledge subject. I do not think so FSC books are enough. But in A level books its enough. In FSC books we can only get a very basic knowledge.I did not suggest any one to read firdous fully.I have never said that It is easy. I just said its concise and too the point one can easily read relevant material from it as it is in points. We do not need to do clinical based study. We can read only relevant material from it.

However I really agree with you it is very difficult for non medical students to read and also it does not have any diagrams. Its too the point and comprehensive so there is no detailed material in it.

I have also shared a link of notes by CSP Faisal k Qureshi whose notes are highly popular and physiology written in his notes is enough.

I have not studied this book. I will surely have a look at it. Medical books are so comprehensive that no one can read them for CSS but the book I was suggesting is difficult but to the point. If one makes concepts from other book or notes than still it can help to memorize the main points.

No hard and fast rules for CSS so some knowledge from books may be handy like at least name of common diseases of these systems etc.

Human physiology is a medical subject and is only well written in medical books. Guyton and Hall is the best book for that which is off course not for CSS.

It does have good diagrams though and its ebook is easily available if some one wanna consult.

CSS is about what you are preparing different from others to get the marks. CSS books by many publishers may have served the purpose but if every one is gonna prepare from these than every one will get average marks. To get extra marks we will have to put extra efforts.

Yes I agree that you have to show something different to fetch good marks in a subject but in this subject there is no need to get in the unnecessary details as it is general science. But again as you said that there is no hard and fast rule for CSS, it is up to the aspirant and available time.

Four links in total

http://www.mediafire.com/download/dj...o_page_141.pdf

http://www.mediafire.com/download/i2...o_page_295.pdf

And for topics like carbohydrates, lipids and proteins these notes are awesome. Enzymes are not included in these notes as they were not included in the previous syllabus. There is a concise book for bichemistry in market named Faiq's biochemistry it will be more than suffient for carbohydrates, enzymes, proteins and lipids.

Let me know the other portions.
These links are not working. Can you fix them?
