in Syllabus outline its written that ,

please anybody elaborate this..........

two large groups of plants
1)simple plants
2)higher plants

SIMPLE PLANTS
alage,fungi,broyophytes,pteridophytes
HIGHER PLANTS
gymnosperms,angiosperms,

animal kingdom is divided into two groups, vertebrates and invertebrates

invertebrates are divided into ten groups
phylum protozoa
porifera
coelentrata
platyhelmithes
nematoda
annelida
arthropoda
mollusca
echinodermata
chordata

all are invertebrates except last one ,I.e chordata

vertebrates are divided into five classes
Pisces(fishes)
amphibians
reptiles
Aves(birds)
mammals

well thank you for your reply @ qublai khan

if you don't mind a little bit correction.....actually alage and fungi do not belong to kingdom plantae. according to Fsc Part I biology book

1)algae (plant like protists) falls under kingdom protista
and
2) fungi falls under kingdom fungi (kingdom of recyclers)

actually in the whole statement

''A BRIEF SURVEY OF PLANT AND ANIMAL KINGDOM TO PINPOINT SIMILARITIES AND DIVERSITIES IN NATURE''

my concerns is with this part

TO PINPOINT SIMILARITIES AND DIVERSITIES IN NATURE''

mean does it mean to give similarities and differences between animals and plants?
or anything else?

thank you for correction.

the most repeated question in pms past papers is “difference between animal cell and plant cell".so basically in pms syllabus, similarities and diversities has been narrowed down to that point.
