As far as i have heard, the speed of light is constant every where. I havent heart of, for example, light travelling with v1 speed in medium 1 and v2 speed in medium 2. Your comments are invited.

after a bit of research,,,,,,,,, you are right, ruba. Actually the speed of light in vaccum is 2.99 * 108 and this number is used as constant in some places like for example relativity. i thought it is the same every where. but in fact speed of light passing through other medieum is less than this. the ratio of speed of light in vaccum and sped of light though other medium is called the refractive index of the medium;;;;;;;;;
