i was suggested by a friend to get "physics, chemistry, and biology" for "o'levels" and "general science" for 10th class(punjab text book board)..... i bought o'level books and found them very useful... but i don't know about general science the book mentioned by arslan is worth reading and it is also a good and compound book.... choice is yours

only read books by recommended publishers and writers, you wount find any error in those, out of syllabus books and cheepy science magazines might have some mistakes.
few good books, which are error free for me (still) are. 1. Exploring life Sciences Turber, Kilburn & Howell 2. Guide to Science Isaac Asimov @ Wajih this is also a good suggestion, it will clear your idea and basic concept
