Encarta's encyclopedia'' is the best book for everday science!!!!! It covers all aspects of everday science conceptually. i found this book quite an indispensable source.... Well, dear friends, i m actually talking about Encarta's encyclopedia copied down in book format by Imtiaz shahid. I have compared key concepts from imtiaz's book and encarta encylopedia. it has been word to word copied mostly, but at few places additions, replacements have been made to clearify core concepts. Do go through this book, if u want to build on you concepts of ev.day.science.
As a supplement to this, also read Mcq+solved past papers by imtiaz shahid on the subject.

regards

Do not rely on a single book. This year papers has shown that one must cover all facets of a subject.in the field of Science ,as we all know, developments are being made with every second and books available in the market are not able to keep pace with these developments. For instance i looked for a book which can give me an idea that why Pluto is not a planet anymore?but i could not find my answer in kashmir's book which is most often used to be recommended.

For me,online sources are the best way to prepare EDS.

For solar system i think one must visit www.universetoday.com

Consult books available in the market but do not rely only on them.

Subah Hunazi : This book is more than enough. However, remember that there i no book which u cud understand in word to word. there may be few topics where ur concentration might dwindle. at these places, do required point from first year and intermediate books.
regards

Make Everyday Science a part of your Everyday Life
I hope you get the point !

Besides there are many recommended books like the one you are using but I'll suggest you not to rely on the books alone. Use the internet for the getting to know the latest developments and try to make your own notes. This will help you in memorizing things as well.

You can also see the partially solved past papers of EDS at the following link
